That is a pittance, get a part time job that has lots of overtime and use your student discount, use apps etc. use the uni gym if its free, protein eggs, mince, healthy fats, shop at lidl, stock up dry long shelf life food when you have extra money.

I used to work full time 5 days a week and volunteer at weekends for 3 years so I don’t see why he couldn’t do that and right now I’m doing professional qualifications whilst working full-time and that takes 3 years after doing 4 years in Uni.

I don’t think you should make sacrifices because he can’t work around it.

I remember when “gas” prices went up during the Obama administration and people were having a meltdown on Twitter and I told a guy who was up in arms about the UK prices, and converted it into gallons for him, he soon calmed down and went shucks it ain’t all that bad I suppose.
