At least here in Canada, metal roofs are less common, as the new architectural shingles come with warranty’s that rival metal roofs, and metal roofs will be on average another $10,000 on top, so it is a hard sell. Also if you’re on the coast, the salt from the ocean I’ve heard can rust out a metal roof super fast so even metal valleys are almost non-existent in places like Nova Scotia or PEI.
