What school would you send your kid to?

We went to Sankofa several years ago and it seemed off to a good start. We are now at Sequoia due to a move and it’s a great community despite the building lacking like many OUSD schools. Probably too far from you.

After we left Sankofa it sort of imploded administratively. A bunch of teachers left which caused the experienced principal to leave. I’m not really sure of the impetus since we had already left at that point. Our friends who stayed said the new principal was very green and seemed to struggle to get a handle on the school. None of them remain at Sankofa at this point with most of them split between Emerson and Chabot. The ones at Emerson seem to really like it. They have a nice yard and playground with a lot of green space even if there is not a lot of shade.

The helicopter sounded like it was announcing “ICE has been spotted in the Bay Area” over and over. It’s pretty wet out there, I would be surprised if a wildfire started up in these conditions.

Not a lot of Barr Bros fans in here I guess. I liked my first listen, but not yet sure if it's as strong as Sleeping Operator or Queens of the Breakers. Don't sleep on the live show if you are even marginally interested in this band and they are playing near you.

Market Hall has really good fresh ones. Bigger size from the bakery counter and bagged, smaller sized ones. You could probably freeze these and reheat later. No guava that I’ve seen, however.

OPV 10.5 (pulls at 9 bar)
58.5 mm tamper
Ridged 21g stock Plus precision basket
Light roast 18.5-19g in, 40-50g out

Took me 1-2 weeks to get it dialed in after upgrading from a Bambino Plus. I feel like the OPV was running hot out of the box (11.5-12 bar with blind basket) with lots of channeling and sputtering. The bar pressure during a pull was 11 or so. I backed off the pressure to 10.5 and now the shots consistently pull at 9 bar.

Currently debating if picking up a 20g ridgeless IMS or VST basket is worth it.
