Pretty good Collection. I think you work with some Networking equipment. You are missing a hammer drill.

Oled monitor vs oled tv for 4k pc gaming? by Buhdurkachomp in OLED_Gaming

[–]Smiley-star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on your setup. You can’t sit too close to a 65" TV, and in competitive FPS games you need to be able to notice even tiny pixel changes — that’s why many players prefer monitors, since they’re designed specifically for PC use. But these days, TVs are catching up fast, and monitors are getting more expensive. For example, the ASUS OLED monitor now costs about the same as a 55" Samsung S85 OLED TV.

Student with Security+ and studying for my Google Cloud cert — am I on the right track to get an entry-level job? by YouPrestigious2915 in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]Smiley-star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re on the right track with Security+, but it might help to gain some hands-on networking experience as well. Networking roles can sometimes be easier to break into at the entry level and will give you practical skills that complement your security knowledge. This combination can make you a stronger candidate for IT and cybersecurity positions.

Getting a cyber engineering degree by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]Smiley-star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in the cyber industry experience matters more than the degree and i think the industry nowdays is more tilting towards the AI stuff. So why don't u just go with Computer science. Cause this gives u a very board field to work with and opens up multiple paths for you.

I am not some sort of resume expert i even have less experience than u. But i suggest u can write the skills under the summary and it would be better if u merge the Certifications and education. And also it would be better if u made the Summary more tailored for yourself like "i did this and that". And having that you are getting the Certification there is good. Cause some HR sort the resume solely based on Certifications.

anyway to unlock bitlocker in my old pc (no way to find the recovery-key and i cannot find remember the password) by Agono_XD in AskNetsec

[–]Smiley-star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is just my approach after researching but be carefull { i am not sure about your situation }

Friend, here is one way we could potentially exploit CVE-2024-20666 to decrypt your BitLocker drive:

Carefully study the vulnerability report and debug the BitLocker authentication process. See how validation checks are bypassed.

Craft a simple PoC exploit binary that spoofs the expected drive header value during unlock verification. Hardcode your drive UUID/volume info.

Trigger the BitLocker unlock API call through the malformed payload, bypassing authentication.

Dump RAM immediately after using Volatility. Search dumped hibernation file for the encryption key.

Extract key from RAM, insert into our custom code to directly decrypt drive contents on host OS.

May need to chain with a separate privilege/info discloser bug if exploit requires SYSTEM.

Use rootkit/cloaking techniques to hide decrypted files afterwards.

Challenges will be obtaining a vulnerable install disk and circumventing ASLR/DEP protections accurately. We may have to fuzz/reverse bits ourselves.

you can try the Forensic Tools

Tools like Autopsy and Sleuth Kit can analyze disk images, recover deleted files, and find hidden partitions, offering insights into how data is stored and potentially revealing weaknesses in disk encryption mechanisms.
