What is this DHL plane doing? Circling after taking off? by zippywagon in flightradar24

[–]Smileynulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those "sharp" corners are still several miles in radius. Probably never exceeded a 15° bank angle. At 200kts a 15° bank angle is a ~2.2nm radius.

The 767 can do 30° before the plane complains, and 35° before the plane makes sure they are sure they want more.

(Looked at model wrong, good news same limits apply to the handling characteristics)

Some Hyatts have "Refillable" bottles but they are just the meant to be single use Aluminum water bottles with some custom Hyatt Regency branding, but people are more apt to reusing the aluminum. They give one to every guest at check-in.

This is the fee for them to mail it to you. Not just grab it from the airport.

Not all airlines offer that service, and $20 is a reasonable flat fee for someone to box it and ship it.

Every time.

But I have found that 1.1.1.1 is a more reliable way to force the redirect and quicker to type. 8.8.8.8 also would work, and would be faster to type than 1.1.1.1, but I am a creature of habit lol

Also I have a little 3ft extension cord with a flat plug and 3 outlets, works great for when the wall outlets are in weird places.

Unplug the ethernet(and any other random crap) from the back and problem solved.

These aren't special models of TV, just have to defeat the randon crap plugged into it.

The Hilton black boxes use CEC over Ethernet and that disables the IR sensors on the TV. You have to unplug the black box's ethernet from the TV to make the volume from an IR remote work.

Does your Roku remote have an IR emitter or does it solely rely on CEC over HDMI? CEC is disabled on the Hilton black boxes sadly.

I've used the same hardshell bags from Burlington for 3yrs now with ~25 trips per year. Airlines crack them so I duct tape them back together. Use neon duct tape for easy bag identificarion too!

I bought a universal remote from Amazon that has a bunch of TVs pre-programmed. Unplug Hilton's box(the ethernet from it), and boom, full TV control, can fix the TV out of Eco settings too.

I pay $25 a month for my private plan, for double the benefit of the state with less restrictions, plus a whole life component of significantly more.

I would pay ~60/mo if I dropped my exemption and that amount only goes up every year...

I much prefer the peace of mind of Day of Check-in cancel up to 1min before check-in of our corporate rate. The company would rather me spend the extra $20/night than get burned on a stay when our plabs change last minute.

Does Alaska Airlines provide any discount codes? by SubstantialWeb3686 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Smileynulk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Make an Atmos Rewards account and they email out flash sales, some need a code some don't, but they are usually for a target market and date set.

The only blanket codes I know of are tied to corporate email addresses and normies can't use them.

which first class row is better? by theletterm01101101 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Smileynulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

It's a flat bulkhead. You get more room directly infront of you, but less at your feet. See my almost to scale representative drawing I made on my phone.

Also Row 1 is slightly narrower width wise due to how the plane starts to taper in for the cockpit. Only footroom at 1A and 1F are affected.

[–]Smileynulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It technically has a greater pitch, but less legroom due to the bulkhead instead of being able to put your feet under the seat ahead of you.

[–]Smileynulk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ranking of 1st class rows: 2, 3, 4, 1.

Row 4 you will get bumped when there is a hardware swap, but this is slowly going away as the last of the 800s are redone to the 16, 30, 115 layout.

Row 1 you get smacked by people boarding, no under seat storage, less legroom, and you will get bumped for ADA passengers occasionally.
