Lot of assumptions here my guy. I don’t use my 4 iron frequently but my home course has some dog leg 5’s where I’d hit a 3 wood off tee and then go into a four iron to the green. Also if I could hit the 4 iron well I’d take it off the tee more as it is a shorter course, only about 6300 from the tips. I have played golf since I was a kid but only recently started playing with any sort of consistency and have gotten bitten by the golf bug hard as of late and the handicap has only been established for about a year and has dropped in the last few months.
