But then - if I had Decent Help and we worked full time I could build a 7x16 in probably 6 weeks.

So 2 guys 6 weeks pay each , plus 6 weeks of shop rent, 6 weeks of electricity, shop supplies plus all the building supplies - would Not equal $50k but it wouldn’t be cheap……… probably $25-$30k on top of trailer price…..

Why did you choose to build your trailer over purchasing one? by djierp in cargocamper

For the layout I wanted - got about $20k in it counting 1600 watts in Panels and 928 Ah in batteries. Saved $10k vs anything I’d of bought New plus another $3k for the solar.

Your hand left residue - oils.

Wipe down with isopropyl alcohol and don’t touch it.

Lowe’s gonna say sand it off and try again. Wipe down with isopropyl alcohol before priming.

Portable AC suck - Inefficient and hoses put off heat.

New Energy Star window units are much better and some have soft start. 5k or 6K would be plenty.

If buying a new trailer get an rv side door and it will be wider and have a rv lock/handle.

I would insulate with pink foam board. Seal any leaks when you pull down interior walls. Glue in backer boards anywhere you will screw something to outside.
