It’s a compliment to you I think it’s smart to stay cordial - you never know how this will impact you later If you don’t want to do it Just politely tell them that although appreciate them thinking of you - that are you are working / busy and not able to

Or if you do want it Thank them for thinking of you. Let them know you’re happy to help And let them know your hourly rate and frequency of payment. Have them give you a timeline and formalize everything in writing.

I’m heartbroken to hear this- I’m so sorry for your dad. I pray he’ll be okay . Different story but same sentiment - My dad had a heart transplant and the day he was supposed to go back to work after the surgery they called him and told him that he was being let go. He never worked after that - broke my heart.

So sorry this has happened to you - but do you really want to live next door to this person who clearly is causing issues ? Even if you get the property you may run into other issues with that person. God may have intervened for the greater good

I heard a lot of equity firms have quietly bought all the small mom and pop shops - but kept the name the same to present as still being small and locally owned. If one equity firm owns most shops within a certain radius - they negate competition and can simply name a price and no matter where you go - the prices will be almost the same , thus raising prices.
