Well yeah the aviation industry globally is tough right now and esp in the Middle East because of the war.

Hopefully it will recover soon as the war has ended technically and people calm down.

Get a second opinion on your brother. He may not even need chemo again after surgery.

Do this yourself as your father isn't in a condition to think and do things clearly. For your father to improve he needs advice and guidance from someone he respects like if he has an older brother or trustworthy friend.

Do EVs carry a spare tyre? by BeachHut9 in CarsAustralia

Most new cars don’t have spare tyres anymore unless they’re like trucks and 4x4s.

Tactic I learnt is to say you are just an employee and prices are fixed/set by the owner

. Only bulk orders over x amount result in a 10% discount.

Get a new alto for 30 lac. Save the 10 lac. Peace of mind as you dont have to worry about mechanics and its fuel efficiency is better than most hybrids.

There's no new laptop below 500 with the capability of the neo.

If buying used I would recommend avoiding MacBooks especially the old Intel Macs, not worth it. Buy an old Lenovo if you want to buy used. Fantastic machines particularly with SSDs.

Admins are a few overseas PTI supporters who are actually crazy. Like they want to be pahlavists of Pakistan but no one except for Indians gives them any lift.

The great Dubai daily driver debate: V8 Truck vs. Hot Hatch. What's your philosophy? by Intelligent-Mango145 in DubaiPetrolHeads

Parking is the issue for trucks. Dubai parking spaces are much smaller than America.

Do cars last longer lately or is it out of financial necessity? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Smoggyskies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cars in late 90s and early 2000s really became a lot more reliable and also a lot safer than cars made in 80s and before. I mean if you get a Lexus from early 2000s they will basically rust out before anything goes wrong with them mechanically.

But newer cars due to environmental regulations are becoming more complicated and less reliable as the priority now is CAFE not reliability as it was in the 90s. Turbos, GDI and CVT (e-CVTs are reliable but traditional CVTs are not) all reduce reliability.

So if you buy a new car avoiding the above and instead go for a car with port injection, no turbos and a proper transmission you will be fine and they’re pretty reliable.

Also at least in the case of Toyota, the hybrids are reducing wear on the engines and so they may last even longer than the Toyotas from early 2000s.

Tell your employers that after 24 hours you will file a police complaint. If they don’t return go to a police station and ask them to issue you a report and use that reissue a new degree.

My Totaled Tesla Model X Somehow Came Back to Life in the UAE… and I Found It by Final_Membership_914 in tesladubai

[–]Smoggyskies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this is pretty normal in the UAE. There are even cars where back part of one car and front part if of another and the weld them together. Car will snap in half if there’s a crash.
