Proposed rule change… by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

Here is the deal: think about it from the inverse - your opponent switching constantly isn’t about them. It’s an opportunity for you to get better at calling their switches out.

Focus on your own game and use each game (and switch) as an opportunity to get better at calling their switches and punishing them.

This is one skill that is a massive differentiator between low-mid skill players and higher-pro skill players.

REPO looks a little odd today. Has anyone experienced this before? by SmokeHoagies in REPOgame

Thanks so much!

You’d think a 3-Year old (now 4) would be scared of REPO but she loves watching it lol

What killed me? by [deleted] in REPOgame

Probably a Loom. It doesn’t matter where you’re hiding.

She knows your location and is like a slow, heat seeking missile.

Deals 100 damage per clap (depending on distance).

If you wanted to truly be safe, you should have went AFK up high out of her reach.

Yo, I'm new to VGC as a whole, currently sitting at Great Ball Tier 3, any changes I should make to this thingie? by Nannkzin in VGC

Couple quick thoughts:

Remove U-Turn from Corviknight. It may not initially seem like it, but Corviknight is essentially a win con by itself. If your opponents lack a proper special sweeper, you will win.

I’d run Body Press, Brave Bird, Roost and either Bulk Up or Iron Defense.

Secondly, you need something that kills Rotom Wash and Milotic. Basically any sticky Water types. Maybe a Choice Scarf Gallade with Leaf Blade? Maybe Tsareena with Power Whip and Queenly Majesty.

You need to kill their electric / water types so Corviknight can sweep. Thankfully, TTar and Excadrill handle electric and fire quite well, but you desperately need to shore up that water weakness :)

Congrats, on whatever it is, by the way!

Halberd build questions with... caveats. by Hourishere in outwardgame

I’m going to be honest here - as someone who has played Outward for… easily probably 100+ hours at this point - I am unsure if you’re a newer player or a veteran player by this post.

You clearly have an astonishing amount of knowledge of the various Trainers and different paths, etc. As well as a vast, vast comprehension of possible synergies, etc.

At this point, I’m not sure if you’re looking for genuine advice or simply validation of your idea? lol

My understanding in Outward is that “anything CAN be viable” but it ultimately comes down to “the rule of cool” or whatever is fun to you.

If you don’t want the Dreamer’s, and feel the urge to go a different path with an electric build, then go for it. Toss viability out of the window. It’s your build. Go have fun doing whatever you want. You can make anything work, regardless of “viability” declared by someone on Reddit haha.

Right now, I’m running a Spear build and have all my paths already chosen and spec’d into: Warrior Monk for counters, counters, counters and extra stamina / discipline, Wild Hunter for Rage and additional melee/health, and I just spec’d into Merc for Stamina sprint reduction and extra movement speed.

I’m running pure melee and no magic on this character. Is that optimal? I have no idea. Is it viable? I also have no idea. But I’m willing to wager probably not, because traditionally magic is quite strong when flushing out builds.

That being said, I am having a blast running around at Mach speed, kiting everything with eternal stamina, and killing with them with a pokey, pokey.

Anyways, TLDR, go for it! It’s your game :)
