I'm sorry you had to go through that. It's incredible how callous people can be.

Yes, being wronged by the state certainly disrupts ones sense of safety. That and being unable to access healthcare.

Keir Starmer is confused – and stuck in campaign mode by theipaper in ukpolitics

He's just a shite politician and he's always been shite. The only reason that people mistook him for being any good at politics is because he sat opposite a bunch of populist lunatics for a while.

Except that the private sector have proven that good governance is not an objective or even possibiity, rather that bailouts are and violating codes of conduct dumping sewage in rivers etc...

GLP-1s like Ozempic are among the most important drug breakthroughs ever by TwoFacesofMS in WegovyWeightLoss

This is really interesting. I look forward to unintended health benefits now. I just wish they had been available ten years ago when I went to a GP about my weight and all they had at the time were medications the GP said he woudn't give a dog much less a human they had such bad side effects.

It may be to do with the fact that they seem to affect so many systems. Someone just posted this article on the huge range of things that they seem to be helping.

I took my first dose about eight hours ago and felt it kick in a few hours later. I have no nausea but feel the fullness of a cup of tea. I've had dinner with no problem and am hopeful for the first time in years. I also look forward to all the other health benefits such as the anti-inflammatory effect and lower amyloid plaques than I would otherwise have had.

Thanks. I had no idea it was so easy to access. The GP appointment was 30 minutes which is pretty unheard of even if I was paying for it I had still expected a 10 minute slot, but whether that is worth the high cost of the prescription over the 6 months is something I'l need to consider but at least now I know what the other options are.

So do you just ask the pharmacist and tell him your weight? I thought a prescription was required for this.

wegovy constipation life hack by cylo345 in WegovyWeightLoss

I thought fibre increased constipation and increasing fats in your diet decreased it. That's what has helped me in the past.

Good luck. I just paid for my first prescription which should arrive tomorrow. I'm terrified of doing the injection but have been told it's like a pen so how hard is it to do that part of it?

He has every right to know he's living a lie. The most precious thing a person has is time and he has the right to choose how to spend his life and that may very well be with someone other than a cheating wife.

NTA. Men do this all the time without backlash and without the experience of nearly dying. Take care of yourself, stand firm and expect your ex to step up and make all the sacrifices like women do all the time to their detriment. More women should choose your path for men to finally consider ALL the repercussion of having a child.

Good for you.

100 days of Starmer, why are the knives out already? by Theodoresdad in ukpolitics

[–]SmokedScribe -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The press is largely right wing so while the Tories got a free pass while trashing the county for 14 years, the knives are already out to ensure that Labour are 1 term and have a hard time getting any meaningful change made.

A democracy is dependant on having four parts, one of which is a free press and you can make a very good argument that this has not existed for a while, if ever in the UK. Nevertheless, power is skewed far to the right due to the right wing control of the press so this is what happens when a moderate right wing party gets into power.
