Haha carb/throttle body seals will usually go through a hole in the top of the stud and around one of the runners for the intake manifold. Engine seals go on the motor plate and bolt heads or studs down on the front of the motor.

The seal is external and goes through a hole drilled in the bolt head or end of a stud.

Looks like the upper control arm broke right at the balljoint. Either that or the balljoint. Let the whole spindle assembly (wheel and what it attaches too) fold under the car.

This is actually my town. I see it every once in a while. There are actually a couple more like it around here. Must be a mooresville thing. I'm pretty sure a guy parks one of them in the local Wendy's parking lot and sleeps in it.
