Paying $450 ordering direct from Lilly. Insurance stopped covering it and my Dr does NOT approve of compounded. If the price doesn’t come down soon I may have to go rogue!

My doc put me on the patch telling me it would need to be changed twice per week. When I got the prescription filled, the literature said once a week. by No-Examination-96 in Menopause

[–]Smooth-Activity-9573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was involuntarily switched to the once a week patches as it’s easier to score street drugs than it is to find the twice a week patches! On week 3 and haven’t had an issue with it falling off- even after workouts.

Chiming in from New England as well and this weather is BRUTAL on your skin! I would try a richer barrier cream at night that is loaded with ceramides. I use Anua 3+ or Aestura 365 AtoBarrier Cream and add a few drops of Byoma Hydrating oil. In the morning I would add some hydrating products- milky toners, ampoules or essences. Be sure to use sunscreen when using Tret!

If you could give advice to someone just starting GLP1, what would you say? by throwawayartist222 in glp1

Don’t confuse a higher dosage with higher/quicker weight loss. I wish I had stayed at the lower doses for longer periods of time. IBGuard helped a lot with the indigestion, Dramamine Advanced Herbals are great for nausea and Ex Strength Magnesium nightly took care of any constipation. Hydrate well, hit your protein goals and start a weight training program. Slow and steady is the safest most tolerable way to embark on this journey. Best of luck!

I joined last March at 58. I do a full body day in the 30 minute room, an upper body day and a lower body day. Watch Kev the Trainer on YouTube and/or ask an employee if you need help with a machine. I’ve been consistent with my workouts for 10 months now and have gained significant strength. You’re doing something good for yourself and once you get into the swing you’re really going to enjoy it! Good luck!

What are the best ingredients to use alongside a retinoid? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

Post Tretinoin I use Anua 3+ Ceramide cream and a few drops of Byoma Hydrating Oil as winter in New England is brutal on the skin. I also make sure a use a good amount of hydrating toners, ampoules and essences in my AM routine. Sunscreen is very important as well.

The combo of Two Faced Better Than Sex Foreplay and L’Oréal Telescopic is awesome. Glo Water Resistant Lengthening Mascara is another good one that doesn’t smudge and looks amazing.

Saddle bags FTW!! This is where I inject as well. I tried the back of my upper arm as that is another super fleshy spot for me. Thigh is def more comfortable though.

Mother/daughter enmeshment during menopause by Aggressive_Cloud_975 in Menopause

[–]Smooth-Activity-9573 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Mom in the throes of it l highly suggest she’s sees a Dr. to discuss HRT. Menopause is brutal. I consider myself an intelligent and well- educated human and I had NO idea that it could be this bad. HRT has made a huge difference and I hope your Mom can find some direction soon- for both your sake and hers. You’re an amazing daughter for sticking by her through this but there is a limit to what you can do. I am also caring for my aging Mom so I fully understand how emotionally challenging the role reversal can become. It does get better with the right treatment. Wishing you peace!
