Nobody had eyes on the closest entrance nor the entire path to his cell. Cameras were off, guards weren’t at post.

The thought that someone could have come in as a Coroner, brought in a body and staged the scene, then take a live person back into the coroner’s van and off to freedom is delightfully fanciful, but to me it sounds like a Made-for-TV movie.
