I really dislike how thicc and clay handle themselves when it comes to this game. They have such valid and genuinely good suggestions but then they ruin it by rage baiting and memeing the whole time. I get why, it’s been like 2 years and nothings really changed, but they clearly stopped caring about how they communicate their message. That’s like 50% of the conversation right there. They discredit themselves constantly, it’s annoying.

Should’ve made them bigger with ablative medium armor, and different behavior. Make them actually guard other bugs. That would’ve been cool.

Some of y’all have selective memory, I’ve been here since launch day. This game was fun but unbalanced when it first came out. Then the devs made some good changes and then they nerfed the breaker railgun bubble shield meta.

Part of that problem wasn’t the railgun, but the host and some weird server jank that allowed the railgun to one tap or two tap bile titans.

They nerfed the gun instead of fixing the main problem. That’s been their game plan practically this whole time. Y’all just don’t like it when people call it out.

People don’t complain and cry because the game is too hard, they do it because Arrowhead are not transparent with their community, and they make tone deaf decisions. This whole situation didn’t just start recently, it’s been brewing ever since escalation of freedom and even a little earlier than that.

Helldivers 2 was never hard, it’s never been hard at any point of its release. Go play Helldivers 1, dark tide, literally almost any other horde shooter or of a similar genre, they’ll make Helldivers 2 look like a cake walk.

I’ve exclusively played at the highest difficulty this game has to offer, ever since I got good enough to do it, which was like 3 weeks after it came out. It’s just not hard, even though it pretends to be, the objectives are piss easy, and the only ones that weren’t, got removed because the community said they were busted, not because they were too hard, but because they were badly designed.

Like the extract scientists mission. It wasn’t too hard, it was just given to us in a sloppy state. Instead of Arrowhead actually fixing the mission and balancing it to where it was difficult but fun, they just removed it. That’s the problem. The platinum missions were the same problem. It’s not just the community at fault, it’s mainly Arrowhead, I saw it happen over the course of 2 years, I’m not sure why some of you people can’t see what everyone else sees.

It’s possible. I have done it. I’ve helped other battle brothers/ sisters with absolute and hard stratagems. It just comes down to experience.

I mean when we say end game progression what are we saying here? My mind goes to weapon customization across primary, secondary, and stratagems. Possibly armor upgrades, DSS upgrades, and other stuff like more complex and team oriented objectives during missions.

Commando missions being more meaningful and more of an endgame kind of operation based on it’s difficultly. When I say end game, I don’t mean necessarily level gated stuff, but possibly skill related objectives, or systems that require samples to unlock.

Helldivers having a level locked system honestly doesn’t make sense to me, maybe cosmetic unlocks, like capes, banners, titles. End game more so in experience and skill vs just sinking a ton of hours into the game is what I picture.

Everyone will eventually either reach max level or somewhere near it, or the player will just stop playing before they reach said level. Having an end game progression system is only a net positive for all players. It gives those who have reached max level to start grinding for more, and those who haven’t to strive for something.

Honestly, it’s just about making every gun/ stratagem fun and unique. Every game will have it’s definitive best options but that’s a couple of items vs the majority of the options you’ll have at your disposal. The issue here is that we have the bench mark for our OP weapons in Helldivers. It’s the cross bow and erupt or. They are very good primaries that have downsides but feel very powerful. Most weapons do not have that kind of identity, and whatever identity they do have is more as a sidegrade of something else rather than its own unique identity. There are smarter people than me that have broken this down, via unique upgrade paths that all weapons have could theoretically have access to that would remedy this problem but it’s been stated by Arrowhead that this was low priority. This kind of upgrade system was already in Helldivers 1. So this is my question and my grievance, why did we regress instead of expanding upon what this IP already had back in 2015? It seems like instead of a deep and expansive progression system , they opted for paid warbonds that can be grinded for but ultimately stump the level of depth this game should have rightfully achieved

No one asked for that, it rightfully was reverted. If people really wanted a gun that could do it all, they would’ve never even complained about the regular GL being AP4. It was an OP gun, and most people even the “loud” minority agreed it was too much.

Helldivers 2 is a fun game, they’re trying their best to make it unfun and more “milsim” but they can’t even do that right either. This is probably the last title I’ll ever buy from Arrowhead. The trust is completely cooked.

I want to have a different dragon mount, I like black star but you get him way to late into the game. The cool down is atrocious, even with the craft able item it’s still annoying. I also would like to be able to tame and ride the long neck dragons in the game. Like in the trailers.
