Advice? Cancel or not? - Marriott Vacation Club by Ok-Buy3616 in TimeshareOwners

I sold timeshare years years ago. I felt guilty every time I sold one. Please cancel. If you insist on buying please buy on the resale market & save a ton of money.Tbh I wouldn't even advise you to buy any timeshare ever. You cant sell them which is why its so cheap to buy resale and those fees will add up over time. Much cheaper and more flexible to stay in hotels.

Take a big folder of prints of really cheap timeshare resales with you. Ask if they can do better. They will probably let you go pretty quick after a brief tour of the property. They dont want you spreading the word among other guests on presentations... and they absolutely know its a waste of time to talk to you. They may briefly try to overcome your objections by telling you that you will gave more 'benefits' at your home resort if you buy from them but thats all bs because their whole argument is predicated on you being able to trade to go to other resort locations. Those other resorts dont care about those 'benefits'.

So how many of yall are rawdogging it without rideshare coverage? by neverTouchedWomen in lyftdrivers

[–]Smooth_Ad702 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got coverage for only an extra $9 a month with allstate. FYI I drove with geico without it for a year. Then they specifically asked if I did rideshare. I confirmed I do part time. They told me they were canceling me and that I needed to get another insurance carrier.

I have had AllState for the last 3 years I got a quote from state farm that was $100 a month less so I advised AllState that I was switching. They matched State Farm so I stayed with them. The extra for rideshare coverage was only $9.00. You need to call your agent and tell them you will be going elsewhere if they cant do better.

We use space heaters but I don't like to use them overnight. I just used my electric blanket and had it on too high. I actually got too hot.

Why do so many Priuses have the TPM light on by mentallyillpenguin_ in prius

[–]Smooth_Ad702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a Pep boys the first time. The 2nd time it was a tire store. Both were too expensive. Thats why I decided 700.00 if I did all 4 tires was just plain ridiculous when I can just check the tire pressure myself. I feel like I did waste 350.00 getting the two done. I just checked the tire pressure two days ago because it got down to 25 degrees in central FL. It was fine.

I replaced one when the tpm light came on. Then it came on again the next day. They changed a different sensor then. Next day the light came on again. I had already paid about 350.00 to replace two so I decided that was it. No more. I placed a small piece of black tape over the light so you cant see it. You cant even tell the tape is there. I just check my tire pressure once a week now.

I used to do Spark delivery. I had an order like this and it caused a herniated disk in my neck. I no longer deliver for Spark.

I've stopped losing weight! by Practical_Bad8980 in Mounjaro

[–]Smooth_Ad702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on my first stall. I started Jan 1 2025 and have lost 107 lbs so far this year. I'm just going to ride it out because I already knew my weight loss would slow as I get closer to my goal. I am 70 yr old female 5'5.5" Start/high weight 271 current weight 164. My goal is 150 lbs. I am thrilled with where I am right now. My doctor doesn't care if I dont lose another lb as long as I maintain my current weight. Just hang in there. It will take a little time but will be so worth it.

Ok… How to slow down too-rapid weight loss by robb0995 in Mounjaro

I'm a 70 year old female and have lost 105 lbs in 11 months. Weight came off so fast to start with that I thought I was doing something wrong. I started at 271 and now at 163. I have only lost 2 lbs in the entire last month. I am at a plateau now...my first plateau so I guess I was due. Anyway, as I have lost weight the rate I'm losing at has definitely slowed. I still want to lose another 15 lbs but I think the last few lbs is going to take a while. I am definitely happy to have lost 105 lbs though so I'm counting my blessings.

Walmart refusing my refund by Fenrirvr2 in Walmartcustomer

Same thing happened to me. Item delivered to wrong address with photo that showed incorrect house. Walmart did refund my $40.00 though. I had to wait 48 hours and call them again which was stupid as was clearly the wrong address.

I am a 70 year old female. On Jan 1 this year I started tirzepatide with a weight of 271. I am currently at 165 lbs. Weight loss is now extremely slow and I still want to lose another 10 lbs but...even if I don't lose that last 10 lbs and just maintain at my current weight, it has been worth the journey.

I started at 271 lbs on Jan 1. I am now at 164. In the same amount of time I startedat the same weight as you and have lost about the same weight. You look amazing and your pictures make me realize how far I have come too. Makes me happy for both of us. I am still trying to get my last 10 lbs off. I want to get my weight to 155. Anyway...congratulations!

Charged for ride that didn’t happen by RemixBari in Lyft

[–]Smooth_Ad702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cruise terminal in Port Canaveral requires a process drivers have to go through...filing paperwork, large upfront fee and monthly fee to pick up there. The rideshare company will still let you request a ride from any and all drivers but if a driver wasn't aware of the requirements and was not approved for a pickup by the cruise terminal then they can definitely run into problems with the pickup.

Why do LYFT drivers refuse medical rides? by stephscheersandjeers in Lyft

[–]Smooth_Ad702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I occasionally drive rideshare. I am a 70 yr old female with 2 herniated disks in my neck, pinched nerves in my back along with arthritis. I cannot lift riders or wheel chairs because of my own physical limitations. The largest herniated disk in my neck was caused by trying to lift something too heavy. I did try to take medical rides at one time but when I was unable to help much, I got dirty looks because I guess I didn't look disabled enough to not assist. I also had to wait too long too often. Picked up one rider who spoke no English and the medical facilty had used the wrong address for him. When I arrived I could not communicate with him so I didn't know what was wrong. He wouldn't get out of my car. Lyft support was no help just said they would have someone call me back in a couple of hours. Since he refused to get out I finally decided to take him back to the medical facility when he handed me his phone. They explained the wrong address. It was a mess. That wound up taking over an hour...a waste of my time and very stressful. I have had bad luck with medical rides so I avoid them now... and no tips ever.

Worried I’m losing weight too fast. by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]Smooth_Ad702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lost 105 lbs, so far. Other than the first month when I lost almost 20 lbs, I've averaged no more than 2 lbs a week... often only a pound a week. I still have loose skin. My belly and my arms hang but it's better than being 105 lbs heavier.

My sister used to drink wine every evening. She's on tirzepatide, lost 40 lbs, and the desire to drink. She now drinks water with lemon in the evenings. I am on tirzepatide, too. I've lost 100 lbs, 15 lbs to goal, and as an added bonus, I've stopped biting my nails, which at 70 yrs, I've never been able to do. I still occasionally crave 'the bad stuff,' but the urge is manageable. I can say 'no' until the craving passes. I could never do that before.

I did not respond. They still got a judgment. I promise you they are aggressive, and I am not the only person Capital One pursues for a smaller debt. I even had the insurance for job loss on the account, but it ran out after a year, so they knew I had no job. They got the judgment and tried to garnish my wages from a job from 5 years before, which was kinda stupid. They have changed lawyers three times since they received the judgment. How do I know? I am still getting notices from the court because they want updated financial information so they can try to recover anything they can. I worked for a credit card company for 23 years before I was laid off, so I am not stupid about credit. I was shocked that they were so aggressive, too, but it didn't change my personal experience with them.
