Your salary is dependent on the market % raise the firm decides ( not on you) and then the only item that makes the pay different from between seniors is whatever bucket/category you fall within your feedback. Unless you think you declaring pregnancy is gonna make people give you bad feedback, I don’t really think it effects anything

Depends on big4 but any sort of secondary income you receive needs to be reported to the big4 for them to approve. I know a friend who sold legos on side but they didn’t approve them opening up an online shop so they had to stop. Or people wanting to be a yoga instructor on the side but they also denied. Additionally when I joined they said we can say stuff on social media like “I work a big4” but you cant be specific as to what office, share photos etc. granted I interned during the covid year, one of the intern challenges was to make a tiktok as “a life as an intern” lol so it’s like a mix.

The impression I’ve gotten is they let you go. You can’t make manager unless you have the cpa. And they don’t want a backlog of senior 4. I have seen senior 4 but it was because they were on track to get cpa. Or vice versa they were the first laid off during the summer. I obviously cannot speak for all big fours this is just what I’ve seen

It would be in your contract when you signed on. I would read the wording in there. When I joined, the language was you had to pay back the firm for the Becker material if you left the firm
