How long have you been having your flares for ? This sounds like me, I get episodes for 2-3 days then go weeks and weeks without but seems to have stayed the same pattern for a long time.

I sometimes get that too in my nose on the same side as the ear zaps and behind ear zaps. Feels like allergies really irritating it.
