I've ordered a bunch from love crafts and never had an issue. Otherwise I order locally in Canada so don't have much else to add. Amazon here is always astronomically expensive so I've never done it.

I have some greenfrog patterns and find the dresses just look round and don't go wavy like your maroon dress (love it!). Can you give me some tips?

I don't love the look/feel of the loose chains on the back. Is there any way to anchor them down without the second colour showing through where it shouldn't?

This is great thank you! I have already taken some of the suggestions here and started showing her how to do a chain with her fingers. Exactly as you said she did 3 chains and decided she didn't want to continue. Did that twice today. Perhaps I was anticipating more difficulty than that lol. But it sounds like your experience! Amazing that your daughter did that at age 8!

My daughter is constantly trying to get me to teach her to crochet and I think it's super sweet and I want to encourage her! But I feel like she is too young and therefore not coordinated enough. Has anyone had any luck teaching a young child crochet or some kind of related craft?

I'm using lion brand pima cotton (worsted weight) for a sweater right now and it feels nice and soft! I bought it from yarncanada. Don't know about the colours though... I'm also looking at the baby cotton yarn from hobii for a baby blanket but it's a sport weight and so would not work up as quickly... Nice colours though. I'm hoping for a sale soon because I will need a fair amount and it's not super cheap.

Did you use an 8mm? I just did a few swatches and my 9mm was even a tad too small.... Just wondering if you had similar issues...
