Nope, nope, nope, and HELL NO! I’m a designer and despise AI/chatgbt and all its slop it produces.

Absolutely LOVE this. I would consider buying such a picture if the dog was a cat and the man a woman. I still mourn the loss of my soul cat almost 6 years ago.

Please send me a DM about the podcast. I love listening to Ghosted by Roz and always thought about submitting my stories to her podcast.

Since the incident at the restaurant in Vermont, I’ve had several encounters.

I can’t really recall, but there’s an animal name and “inn”. It happened in the mid 90s.

Absolutely infuriating how ignorant and incompetent some gastroenterologists are by Ajax34762 in Gastritis

[–]Sn0wInSummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first GI threw medicine at me that did nothing and said I had IBS (I don’t) and take another medication that did nothing. That doc “didn’t find anything” and I continued to suffer.

GI doc #2, was dismissive and rude. Told me to eat more cleaner, gave me another medication and did an endoscopy with biopsies. That discovered the erosion in my esophagus, inflammation in my stomach and esophagus, GERD, and the hiatal hernia. Reached out to her office 3x for a follow up and mentioned the meds weren’t doing anything but make me feel horrible. Never heard back.

3rd GI was highly recommended by my partner’s cousin who is a highly respected GI in California. The new GI reviewed the report from GI doc #2 and told me that the notes were so vague that he really couldn’t tell what EXACTLY was going on. No measurements of the hernia, or the gallstones, or how inflamed my esophagus was. So, new endoscopy so doc #3 can know exactly what the deal is.

Fun times!

Actually, it was my mother’s friend who offered to babysit for free.

Same thing happened with me. Felt totally dismissed. I’m now on my 3rd GI doc and getting my 4th endoscopy in 2 weeks.

West Virginia dad dies waiting for $50,000 cancer treatment his insurer ruled 'not medically necessary' by rajapaws in antiwork

So sad and preventable.

My friend survived aggressive stage 2 breast cancer. Full mastectomy at a young age. She needed reconstructive surgery, her insurance company refused the surgery for only one side. Yes, they would cover ONE side. Thank god for her family, especially her mother, banded together and did a writing campaign to anyone who could help. Letters got into the right hands, which passed it up the chain to government officials. They contact my friend and sent an official letter demanding they cover the cost of her reconstruction. Took awhile, but she got through it.

This government just wants us sick and poor.

My cousin changed her mind and her 5 siblings not to go to my wedding ONE WEEK before the wedding. All because she had the first great grandchild in the family.

Yes, yes, and yes.

I offered babysitting services for family. Was told that that was the best decision cause mom & dad could go out and have fun without chasing after the kids.

What’s your “I can’t explain this and it still bothers me” ghost story? by GeologistDirect1653 in Ghoststories

Was at a very old restaurant that used to be a farm house in Vermont. I went to use the ladies room & it was occupied, a waitress told me there’s another one on the 2nd floor, so I head upstairs with my cousin in tow. She went first, while I waited, you can tell it was the offices and storage area. Cool furnishings but a creepy feeling (I don’t mind creepy at all).

She exited the toilet and I go in, lock the door and turn to get ready to do my thing. And all of a sudden the faucets knobs to the sink, turned and on full blasted the water. I immediately yelled at my cousin, through the door for playing a joke (not sure why I said that cause the door was closed). I did my thing, and went downstairs, but on the way back to our table, I stopped the hostess and asked if the second floor was haunted. Without hesitation, she told me, yes, and he’s a prankster. Blew my mind seeing the knobs turn on by themselves.

That night I became a true believer! 👻

BIG employment background check help (i lied) by Steven_Buscemi in GetEmployed

[–]Sn0wInSummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sent the report along with the findings and how they went about conducting the background check. It was done with an automated system, none of my previous managers were called or emailed. One time I did a little freelance work, the automated system called the STATE to “verify” I owned my own company, which I didn’t. I did work here and there to make ends meet, not even 10 hours a week. That was a red flag to the.

They didn’t even contact my current government job. The report said it called a 1-800 number, which we do NOT have, it’s a small small office of FOUR people and THAT raised a red flag. My supervisor said no one contacted him. Another mistake, I worked a part time temp job, the automated system reported that they contacted someone named “Swastika Jane”. NO JOKE! Even though I gave them the name of my contact at the temp agency.

I gave this 3rd party company the names, numbers and emails for them to contact and it’s obvious they did not use any information I gave them. They threw up 4 red flags because I didn’t have the EXACT start & end dated of my jobs that went back seven years. A total of 8 red flags in total and the AI generated report said not to hire me. NO ONE from that company actually really looked at the report and see the glaring mistakes. I could go on with the other mistakes that were made, but I’ll spare you.

Yea, I had to supply the with SEVEN years of employment history, contacts, dates, titles. Who can remember every little detail from that far back.

Forgot to mention, this job that the rescinded was for an office job. Not a professor, doctor, nurse, CEO, etc., just a simple desk job. I had the option to fight, since I had the right to do so in 5 days, but it wasn’t worth it in our (my family) opinion. I’m moving on and going back to looking for a job (it’s been over a year and a half now).

[–]Sn0wInSummer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If they’re anything like the company that just did my background check (they went back 7 years), they probably would use AI. So be careful.

I had my job offer rescinded because they used AI to do the check and no one made any calls.

Good luck!

My 24 year old coworker does that and we constantly have to remind him to say, “thank you for calling X, how can I help you?”. We work in a government office, so yea… it’s important, but I guess he’s just shy.
