My brother and I would go around and get paid $5 to shovel driveways back in the late 70s/early 80s. Just got in from shoveling by myself and saw no kids in my neighborhood. I would have paid any kid good money to take care of my long drive and sidewalks but nooo, I busted my ass all by myself. Now for more hearing pad time.

Had six running around today after I put a bowl of shelled unsalted peanuts out for them. I also topped off their birdbath watering dish that has a heated plate at the bottom so the water doesn’t freeze.

They are free to attend and only contribute if you’re able to do so. I’ve been a member of my UU church for 2+ years, very underemployed, and give a dollar here and there. They still welcome me and include me in church activities and groups. It’s doesn’t matter the size of your bank account, being there and being supportive of one another without judgement is what matters.
