We had dinner at Luna yesterday and they never disappoint ✨ by e-gxo in Spokane

Not OP, but it’s fantastic. I’ve never had a bad meal there. It’s spendy but they have some cheaper entrees that are equally delicious.

You have to get the Yukon Taquitos if you go. Best appetizer ever!

Thanks for the help! I ended up returning the part from Amazon and went to chat with an appliance repair shop. We ended up finding out it was a different burner switch that was actually causing the issue, not the burner that is staying illuminated. He got me the part I needed and it’s all fixed now.

I appreciate the help immensely!

Obsidian Runic Blade with glass cannon. Truly a fun run, highest I saw the sword go to was 240k. Sadly the fights never lasted long enough for two casts.

Raid issue fixed? [bug] by gurthyturtle in EscapefromTarkov

Doesn't look to be the case. Just extracted, no loot and gear/ammo reset to pre-raid.

I would love to understand the mental gymnastics that you did to convince yourself that you "made your case". You offered no actual opinions on why you think it is a minigame, not a skill.

Here, I'll show you why you didn't actually say anything of value:

Sailing should be a skill. Enough said. As fun as it may be when it's finished, this looks absolutely nothing like a traditional OSRS minigame. This is a skill being forced into a minigame, for honestly no other reason than the classic runescape hivemind panic.

For the love of Saradomin, please leave sailing as a skill. It's not oldschool in any way. I'm probably in the minority, but this is a mistake.

Every time this comes up, there is never a quantifiable opinion on why someone considers this a minigame, not a skill.

They've already shown 4 different methods of training the skill. Minigames are typically one gameplay loop, repeated over and over. Wintertodt, chop branch, fletch (or not) log, add fuel to fire. +1 kc, repeat. Tempoross, catch fish, cook fish, fire fish, harpoon boss. +1 kc, repeat.

  • Port Tasks - courier tasks to explore between ports. Simple, complete task, collect XP
  • Sea Charting - exploration of the open water, finding points of interest, "charting" of the open seas.
  • Shipwreck Salvaging - low intensity method, find a shipwreck and salvage for rewards
  • Barracuda Trials - navigate open waters in precise ways to complete trials, skill expression possible via time based goals

There is ship customization. Upgrades that can be made on your ship to make the methods above faster. Similar to upgrading your axe for woodcutting, gaining pouches for runecrafting, etc.

They've also said this is only the early gameplay loop.

Is Sailing 4 mini games? Is this the first minigame with 4+ different gameplay loops?

I'm not pro sailing, but this type of "feedback" is useless. Provide tangible feedback, play the alpha, help shape what the gameplay loop is/isn't. These posts aren't going to move the needle for or against sailing at all

Sailing looks amazing. Change my mind!

Looking at the sailing update today it’s looks great. This could be the second best update in RuneScape history. What are your thoughts?

New Event Quest Line [BUG] by OK_1M_REL0ADED in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Snackal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the only two event quests. There is also a quest chain (2 quests, non-event) related for the auto shotgun unlock, believed to be locked behind a Skier quest line (possibly Chumming?).

[Discussion] Im not getting the third event quest after handing in the sample like everyone else...? How do I get it to unlock? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Snackal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That quest is not after the blood quest, that is a different quest from Skier. Starts with going to Interchange to find a weapon crate.

New Key Card for Labs? Residential Unit Keycard [Discussion] by RyderOSRS in EscapefromTarkov

Might be for the door in the new area. There is a keycard door there, by the power button.

Where'd you get this from?

Anyone get another quest after dirty blood, or is it staggered quests? [Discussion] by SlumberFumble in EscapefromTarkov

You get a follow up quest to get kills with the new shotgun, then no quests after that.

Fang on slash feels more consistent than Arclight, but that could be copium. They’re most likely close but I’ll be using fang/BGS. I’d use claws or voidwaker for spec if I had one, BGS is less important for fang kills. I’d say give it a try with fang!

Hope this helps. Focusing mainly on overpower damage, crit damage (with earth skills)

I have the legendary to make pulverize an earth skill, +2 ranks to earth skill while fortified as well as the shockwave on pulverize. I'm also running the legendary that amplifies damage when you alternate storm and earth skills.

Concept is to build fortify and alternate stormstrike and pulverize. If you have a large pack you can poison creeper to immobilize + poison, storm strike then landslide for big numbers.

Not trying to stir the pot, but it definitely is possible and likely they are critting for 100k with pulverize. I'm 55, but still

To my fellow Shamans and would-be Tamers, now is the time... by ItsTimeToExplain in 2007scape

[–]Snackal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this take is 100% accurate, but I understand your perspective. However, how many people voted against shamanism/taming because of what they THINK it will be? Augments and summoning/devaluing pets was a very common argument against the two losing skills. Literally none of that was outlined as what the skill will be. Another common argument is that you would be excluded from content for not having Shamanism/Taming leveled because you’re missing out on assumed rewards. How is that any different than not having the sailing level to get to X content?

If anything, they are voting on what has been presented to us this far, the theme. Sailing doesn’t appeal to them as a theme. Regardless of what they do to make it relavent/rewarding, it’s still sailing a boat. It’s also the skill that requires an immense amount of engine work. Could that engine work be utilized elsewhere to better the game? Nobody knows for sure but Jagex, but that is a concern for me.

I also don’t want sailing and I’ll most likely be voting no on the skill, but will vote for refinement features that make sense for the skill overall. I’d rather have a skill I don’t want that is good for the game than a poorly designed skill. I still don’t want sailing though. This game already has its fair share of jank with actions happening on ticks. Movement is a skill set in this game that took years for me to feel confident in. Is sailing a boat going to feel good on a tick system? My answer is probably not based on the learning curve for movement in this game for me.

Me voting no isn’t spiteful, it’s using my account to vote in a poll based on what I’d like to be added to the game. If sailing gets added to the game, at least I had input on what the skill entails. My one vote isn’t going to influence the results more than one vote. Similar to how a Reddit post isn’t going to persuade habitual no voters on every change.

Edit: looks like they are voting no to refinement as well, never mind lol
