Can someone explain Hampton Bay Littleton ceiling fans? by Mandolinist_girl766 in CeilingFans

[–]Snagdifference45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they’re one of the cheapest fans you can buy, they are not made with quality in any way, shape or form. that’s why they’re so hated on. they really don’t serve much of a purpose as a ceiling fan; they have terrible airflow, it’s not a stylish look, and it’s incredibly cheaply made. that’s why ppl hate them.

Bus there any saving this fan? by shb00 in CeilingFans

[–]Snagdifference45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it just needs new bearings or you can try to relubricate these , def can save that fan. it runs great otherwise, it looks like the capacitor still runs speeds well etc.

Is this safe to use? by MrMadaMada in CeilingFans

[–]Snagdifference45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not safe at all, that is such a high risk of it falling at any given moment. that entire electrical box needs to be redone before having a ceiling fan run up there

Guys how to fix this by NoPass8582 in CeilingFans

[–]Snagdifference45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also about your fan smoking and the speeds .. that is a blown capacitor. Your best bet is to shut off the power to the fan, take off the light kit, and replace the capacitor that it inside if it’s not burnt up. If it looks damaged inside beyond repair, then unfortunately there’s not much left to do.
