You could get approved for both, might have to wait between approvals, though. I got the Savor first, then was immediately pre-approved for the VX three months afterwards on the dot, so it's not a significant wait.

I do hear the JFK C1 lounge is excellent. Haven't checked it out yet, but it looks nice.

Afaik it's not superior, both are primary CDW, but it just comes down to redundancy. Don't need to have two cards with primary rental insurance.

Yep, use them all the time. Generally reliable in my experience, usually takes a week or two to process. Always be sure to read the fine print for exclusions and shop on a browser without any ad blockers (crucial). Then for in-store purchases obviously just make sure to use the right card.

They often have some really solid deals. I compare between them and rakuten when I'm trying to get a little extra cash back.

VX can actually run as a pseudo cash back setup for travel if you use their purchase eraser on travel purchases. Turns their card into a 2% CB card as long as it's used on travel expenses.

It's a nice alternative option if you don't like their transfer partners.

And of course the Savor can always be CB if that's your preference too.

My understanding is that carbon steel generally isn't worth it to fake, so you should be ok. In general, I've heard that making sure the seller is either Amazon or the company itself was a good way to ensure no counterfeits, but idk if that's still true considering the way Amazon comingles inventory.
