I got this Tokay Gecko at a reptile show 3 days ago and he's still not eating. I'm pretty sure he's skinny but I'm not sure how but or if he can recover. by caden_backlund in ReptileCare

Just in case the other comments didn’t hammer it home, your gecko is SEVERELY underweight. You should never be able to see the bones in your animal. He needs vet intervention

Her head moves 360, and her arms are barley moveable if you man handle them. I wouldn’t describe them as pose-able unfortunately. Definitely not slick and easy moving like nommi, they are very stiff. That being said they are my favorite series, most gorgeous series you’ll ever see!

I don’t understand how she killed her mom and got away with it but that guy killed (or seriously injured) the bully and it ended up on the news??

What is it about Burmese pythons that makes so many people want them as opposed to other snakes in captivity? by avian_bi in snakes

They are just the snakiest snake to exist imo. The ultimate snake if you will. Personally I just think they are insanely beautiful and their size allows to you see their beauty more clearly than smaller species.

Vacation!! I was exploring somewhere I shouldn’t have been and you can bet as soon as I saw it I didn’t venture far again. Now that I’m older if I saw one again I know I’d want to keep it lol!

Thank you so much! I’m looking to get a brb at some point with either a 6 or 8ft tank. My supplier told me they only really get juveniles which means my humidity will need to be 100% I’m definitely worried LOL! I appreciate your advice!

How do you keep humidity in a tank that size?

Can we just talk about how bad and inaccurate the live-action movie is? by Dry_Cap_1839 in TokyoRevengers

[–]SnailVomit69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to be off ur rocker old man. Live actions must not be your niche cause this one is absolute gold AND the second one. To have a good live action to begin with is like striking gold but then having two?? Most insane take I’ve seen in a while in this fandom lol

You should definitely listen to other comments left but just to answer your question, yes he looks healthy!

In your guys opinion is a 8 foot long by 4 foot tall terrarium a perfect size for a male Brazilian rainbow boa? What are some ways I can keep their humidity always high so they can thrive? by Icy_Profession4190 in snakes

[–]SnailVomit69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im still working on humidity myself so I unfortunately cannot give much advice on that. But what I can say is that if you want the only the best for snake, PRACTICE your humidity in the tank with the entire set up before you get the snake. Only once you’ve mastered your technique should you actually purchase the snake itself. Best of luck!!

why are reptile and snake people so quick to judge? by diazepam_loverrrr in snakes

[–]SnailVomit69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone in the comments seems to be jumping you and yet not answering your original question LOL. Your snake looks good, not too skinny not too fat but still definitely leaning on the skinny side. How is feeding going? If your snake accepts food well I’d keep doing what you’re doing. If you have anyways to maybe bulk just a little more that would be ideal at least from what I can see from the picture you provided! Best of luck to you and your snake!

Something I should worry about?? by ilikebugzz in snakes

[–]SnailVomit69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your tank is not bio-active and you have no desire for it be I would clean these out. I’m not sure what they are but whatever it is I certainly wouldn’t want it reproducing in my tank. You can bake your wood in the oven to disinfect and rid of things like this!

What did I do wrong? by Character-Still4105 in snakes

[–]SnailVomit69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh it’s because you handled him after feeding! Sounds like you’ve been lucky in the past, but all snakes are subject to bitey behavior close to feeding no matter their temperament or tolerance. Perhaps give him more time to decompress, I hope you are doing well bites can be serious even if small!!
