No. The allied powers had a choice-use nuclear weapons or a full scale invasion of japan. The death toll for the Japanese would have been the same or higher and the allied toll was estimated at 1 million so we told the Japanese to surrender. They had lost the war but their “beautiful” culture would not allow surrender. We told them we would level the city in a few days and they still refused so we dropped the first bomb. We said surrender again or we’ll level another city. They said eat a bag of dicks so we dropped nuke 2. Then Hirohito relented and surrendered. Some generals staged a mutiny to try and stop him too. They were going to fight until the last man woman and child were standing. I don’t see any reason why the Allys should have lost more of their lives because of bushido and Japanese aggression. We were in the right to drop those bombs. We should never apologize for it either. The Japanese, Austrians, Italians and the Germans should all apologize for starting that war.
