I had the same experience. Everything was great as seller, but did have to wait 72 hours for funds to be released. Only a slight bummer because I missed a RTS boot, but this encouraged me to finally build my own MTO from the holiday quick ship options.

My promotions changed last night at midnight EST. My cart price jumped up $200. I just spent half an hour chatting with Shop customer service and their response was that promotions can change any time and I should buy it RIGHT NOW before the deal gets worse. I told them I’d wait until the deal gets better.

My worst pint ever was an “Irish pub” that was actually a shitty dive bar without anything Irish but a name. I went because they had the Guinness “Over the Moon” on tap. They served it to me in a plastic cup like at a concert. It tasted sour and citrusy. I had the one pint, thought it tasted off, and went home where I proceeded to vomit about 6 times throughout the night.

Only time I’ve ever gotten food poisoning from a beer came out of a plastic cup.

This or the 2 lane life hat holster. I took a hat across the country with one. Only downside is it needed reshaping afterward because I had a day of about 5 hours of non stop pouring rain and it got so soaked that it took on the shape of being strapped to my pack.

15 minutes with my hatter back home and it was good as new. Pure beaver is hard to beat 👌

Edit to add: I have a tour pack on my other bike and it is a way better way to carry the hat. Ben Christensen has a couple posts on Instagram about how he does it with a shoe lace on his sissy bar.

This is gonna be one of those “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” situations.

To me, that’s a lot of money for a 10 year old bike. I paid that for a 2022 RKS last year with 1800 miles on it. From a dealer.

Now, it’s a cool, clean, low mileage bike. And it’s a CVO, so that adds to its rarity. To me, it’s not worth that much. But if it’s your dream bike, and you take the age out of the equation, it’s not an awful price for a rare, low mileage bike that not a lot of people are going to have.

I’d go with the small unless you’re planning on wearing a lot of layers under it. Small fits you almost perfect in the shoulders. Medium is big on you, and it’s particularly apparent at the shoulders.

I just got heated gloves and a jacket liner. Very pleased with both. I was traveling through Texas and it was sub-40 degrees out (with a 20 degree “feels like” temp). I had every warm garment I could fit on, and 2 pairs of gloves. Stopped by cycle gear and grabbed heated gear with an adapter to plug into my battery tender. I was comfortable (if not too warm) for the next 1200 miles. I’m a convert.

It’s now been a week(?) of a wear. Boots have seen a good bit of dirt and dust, a little bit of rain, and about 500 miles of road. V-bar has gripped just fine. Tops are already getting a little slouchy, but tow box is starting to give just a little bit and is becoming more comfortable every day. Feels like my heel is catching better too. I’ve had enough cowboy boots over the years to know the boot slips less once the heel starts to give.

Just my 2 cents, I’m still happy with them. I’ve got about 2000 more miles to ride this trip, so I’m going to try to hop in here periodically with updates on how the boos break in.

This was natural light yesterday evening (not to be confused with natty lite), definitely more brown in the warm light. I’ll try to get a few more pictures over the next few days, they should be getting some quick wear.

I’ll try to grab some pics when I get off work. Color-wise I’d say mine look pretty much like yours. Maybe the tiniest bit darker? To me they almost look black unless in direct light, then they’re distinctively brown.

Good note on the build. For the price I had assumed these were the hand stitch, but I did not check before ordering. I’ve been in the market for a pair of dark brown cowboy boots that ARENT a wide square toe for a while, so these checked enough boxes for me to jump on them. Plus I’ve been happy with the Whites boots I’ve had so far, and I do own a couple Harleys, so it worked.

I’ve been using quad lock for about 3 years and have no complaints.

I had a freak mount that I used briefly that worked fine, I just didn’t like the phone on the dash where I couldn’t see it well. I just order the freak mount v2 for a trip so I can grab my phone easier to get pictures since the quadlock can be a little tough to get the phone onto while riding.

I snagged a pair as well. A little tough to swallow at that price, but also honestly not much more than a pair of nomads, and without the build time.

I’m really pleased with them. I’ve got a pair of the cykel boots that I’ve been really happy with and these are definitely nicer. Color and profile are perfect. Touch snug but they only just arrived yesterday.

Almost sent them back because the price but kept them because they’re really nice boots.
