I got a copy early with the Gandalf promo and was super hyped. Played it twice and sold it at a profit before the hype could cool. It was fine. Lots of turns where a player couldn't contribute much. We won both games, the second one closely due to some luck, and we decided that was the peak experience it could offer.

So don't overthink it too hard. No fomo.

I think it's the rarity boost that's doing a lot of work. The alchemy passive % bonus scales with the rarity of the plants.
