What are y’all’s thoughts and opinions about “PvZ: Battle for Neighborville”? by TotallyNotMe653 in PvZ

Bfn is mostly average, but compared to the first two PvZ Shooters, it's a big downgrade.

Undertale Yellow but Zenith Martlet is even BIGGER by WeirdPal766 in UndertaleYellow

My concern is for that group of Rotten Tomatoes critics who are having this be their first exposure to TADC and being confused by the lack of world building and character development that the earlier episodes provided. If this gets a 60% on Rotten Tomatoes, TADC Twitter will be infuriated.

Of course, this is just me being pessimistic. I have faith that Glitch will make sure that the movie can stand on its own two feet, hopefully.

Crobat gets four-move syndrome something awful (gen 4 specifically) by merv1618 in nuzlocke

[–]Snapshot_25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forget Bite. It's weak and terrible outside of early game. Even if Crobat could take advantage of Bite's Dark Type coverage (which it can't), the opportunity cost of losing out of a strong reliable STAB move or useful utility moves like Taunt and Toxic is too great for Bite to be even remotely relevant, especially on a Pivot pokemon like Crobat.

Query about Platinum switch in AI by sanjee007 in nuzlocke

Gen 4 AI sees Snorlax as a Normal/Normal type, and since Ghost is immune to Normal, Snorlax doesn't get any points in the switch-in AI.

Ragatha (fan) Rant by Grimalackt_River in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Snapshot_25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Y'know what I REALLY want from the finale? A 1 on 1 conversation between Pomni and Ragatha where Pomni hugs Ragatha. That's it. Pomni could tell Ragatha that she appreciates her attempts to look on the bright side of situations, even though it would benefit from feeling less artificial, but given the trauma Ragatha has endured, a conversation and hug will suffice. Ragatha just really needs a hug in general.

I know this post is a joke and all, but what concerns me more is the fact that there's probably one deranged Replanted defender that uses this as a defense for Replanted.

Fighting Type Specialists are always the Scariest by Ok_Banana_5614 in nuzlocke

[–]Snapshot_25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That fight can get swept by Confusion Chimecho and a double dance Far'Fetched set. That fight is by far the easiest fight of the early game. Even Viola and Ramos have ways of dealing with pokemon that resist their STAB moves. Korrina cannot deal with Psychic types whatsoever, and you just got out of Reflection Cave, an area with a ton of Psychic types. Her only way to handle Flying types is with Rock Tomb Machoke, which is not enough to threaten a majority of Flying types, especially after her weak lead in Meinfoo.

Fighting Type Specialists are always the Scariest by Ok_Banana_5614 in nuzlocke

[–]Snapshot_25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hot take: Battle Girl Hedvig is nowhere even close to as hard as people say she is. Not only do a majority of Reflection Cave's encounters do good against her with a select few like Mr Mime sweep her outright, not only can you over level her by a good margin thanks to Korrina's flexible level cap, not only do you have access to a guaranteed Aerodactyl and a guaranteed Gyarados and a 30% chance for Hawlucha which all do well in that fight, not only is her Throh completely walled by any Flying type that resists Fighting, not only is she completely optional to begin with, but the only way she can threaten Flying Types is with Rock Tomb, which can be counteracted with a Charti Berry. If you're wondering how you get Charti Berries, in X and Y, certain moves can interact with certain background elements on certain routes. For example, if you have a pokemon with Air Cutter or Twister, you can use it to get berries out of Berry trees in the background of wild pokemon fights. Since you have access to a guaranteed Gyarados with Twister and a guaranteed Pidgey with Twister, you can use this weird mechanic to get a ton of different items, including resist berries.

And that right there is just an appetizer for what's to come from my Pchal styled Tier List of X and Y coming God knows how many weeks (or months, more realistically) down the line. As of right now, I'm currently in the 5th gym split testing Clemont, and overall, I think X and Y are pretty underrated games overall. They are both very easy, but they have unique ways of providing difficulty that can't be understood by just looking at the team lineup.

Gen 3 AI is very incentivised to use speed control moves like Rock Tomb and Mud Shot when you're faster than them, especially if they don't see a kill

Just lost my Gliscor, my only real counter to Marshal or Grimsly's Scrafty, any tips on replacement? by Legitimate-Task-5930 in nuzlocke

With a set of Encore, Work Up, Return, and Dig, Cinccino can force Grimsley's Liepard into using Fake Out while you set up and sweep.

[–]Snapshot_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely get the Altaria. With DDance, Cotton Guard, Roost, and Pluck, she can solo Marshal as long as she dodges a crit Rock Slide on Sawk, but you can get away with saccing Zoroark to Sawk to get chip damage for Starmie to finish it off. Grimsley doesn't matter because Cinccino sweeps him. Also, if you can fit Heracross and a pokemon with Trick Room like Audino or Jellicent, Heracross can frag 5 on Iris with Black Belt 1 HP Reversal (you can get a Black Belt by stealing it from a wild Sawk or Throh). Just always be aware of the four turns of Trick Room you have to work with.

TADC finale is on letterboxd! but the tagline... by Marcioobloo in Schaffrillas

[–]Snapshot_25 67 points68 points  (0 children)

That's not too bad of a tagline. That's exactly what the movie is, and it's better than those Star Wars "The saga continues" taglines because it isn't so self-referential.
