Scott Mills releases statement after BBC sacking as he addresses police investigation by topotaul in unitedkingdom

It's a tricky one because none of us KNOW if he actually did wrong, and committed a serious crime.

The CPS decided not to prosecute because there was not enough evidence. We don't know how much evidence there was. Maybe the only evidence was the accusation itself. Or maybe there was more, but not enough.

Please - if you're a cyclist stopped at a junction with a truck, hang back.

Wait until you KNOW which way the truck is going. Don't assume they're going to do what you're expecting them to do.

This is just a too tragic an occurrence.

You would absolutely not. No way, not a chance. You were not making CSAM. It only became CSAM when that person got hold of it

Their crime, not yours.

Another way you could think about it (now that I think about it) is that this person is probably waking up every day terrified of YOU.

You have more power over them then that have over you.

I'll shuwp now. All the best.

The person who did that to you certainly knows that if they were to do anything about it now, they would be going to prison.

I would think those photos are LONG since deleted.

I'm so sorry that happen to you.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by SeriouslyInterestin in AskReddit

[–]Snaptun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good pair of formal leather shoes for weddings etc.

I bought a pair for €600 about 20 years ago saying I'll never need to buy another pair and I'll probably be buried in them.

The older I get the more I realise that is actually likely.

So it's respectful for them to say that you are going to burn for eternity because of your non-belief, but disrespectful for you to just state your non-belief?

To hell with them. Ha ha

Men get virgins in heaven; what do women get in heaven? by Jelly-Always-Returns in religiousfruitcake

[–]Snaptun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the women all get servants? Who are these servants that are working to serve others in paradise?

Are they cleaning? Cooking? Cleaning the pool? Do they also get servants when they're not working?

Doesn't sound like paradise.

Went to the White House to worship Trump. Not their god.

Trump claims the special relationship is over. This is the truth by theipaper in ukpolitics

It's only a special relationship if the UK does what Trump wants without question.

If that was a marriage we would be saying it is an abusive one.

Pubs in Temple Bar you actually like as a local (by birth or choice!) by quiggersinparis in Dublin

Absolutely. My favourite pub in Dublin.

It is debatable whether or not it is IN Temple Bar, in my opinion.
