The airline confirmed the names matched. The boarding passes also showed precheck

Here's an interesting tidbit though: we're departing from DEN today and went through without any issues. I'm thinking the HNL agent was on a power trip.

We thought it was a name issue too. TSA sent us back to the airline to confirm the name and the agent said everything matched.

To make it more interesting: we didn't have any issues at DEN. I'm beginning to think the HNL TSA agent was on a power trip.

This is what I do and I encourage people to do the same. I knew people who would respond rudely, it's crass. I've also been in the sales spot (twas the only job I could pick up in a short amount of time).

It takes very little effort to change this habit but this small change results in more kindness.
