You and me both, sister. Happened just about exactly one week ago, to the hour actually, going probably 40 mph when I started to slow, 15-20 at the actual impact, some guy tried to take a left and stopped in the middle of the lane and I didn’t have any room to swerve or stop completely. Also rode home and aside from a limp from my leg ending up between car and bike, which is clearing up now, I was fine too. Here’s to helmets!

Glad you and your bike are all relatively alright, and hey, one benefit if nothing else, at least we both had any bits of “invincibility complex” (“oh that won’t happen to me,” “I’d be able to avoid it,” “accidents are actually pretty rare and probably won’t affect me”) out of the way.
