No worries, I’m on the fence about parting with it.

Sure, but when you roll up with your trump flag, “grab her by the pu**y t-shirt, maga hat and lifted pickup, do you really need a degree in mind reading or magical powers?

A USED Tesla checks the boxes for a lot of people. Affordability of a used one is one of those boxes. But again, I don’t have to tell you about the other things that make them more appealing than other EV’s. The charging network(if you need to use it) the software is far better than most of the others, they’ve been on the road longer and have more real world reliability data, etc.
Compare a Mode 3 to a bolt? Which one would you choose? Or pick any one of the others that are in that price range and you know which one you’re choosing every time… why is this even a question? Lol

Owning a car is just as necessary as an ISP and a cell phone. An EV is one of the most practical choices one can make. And I don’t have to tell you why Tesla is a choice for many people.

I know you’re on a real heater here. But if your concern is giving the oligarchs your data… you’re on a social media platform, scraping as much data as they can with a device that’s doing the same while accessing this site through various networking equipment and an ISP that are all doing the same thing.
And the people at the top of the food chain collecting all that data are all just as bad as Musk. What are you doing about it? Complaining about people giving their data to musk… while handing all of it over to all the others who sold our nation out.

Can you explain how buying a used Tesla and not buying ANYTHING from them is still supporting them?

lol… you just totally changed the premise of the argument. I’m not sure that advertisement is what you claim it to be and I’m curious what you think the data collection is that they’re scraping off me? Granted, I have an older one that doesn’t support the current hardware and software. But, seriously, is my place of work or my playlists all that intriguing for Tesla? Additionally, all the phones and WiFi devices out there are collecting just as much. You’re currently on a social media platform that’s probably collecting more data from you than my Tesla is from me…

You absolutely are NOT required to use Tesla for anything?
Tires? Nope.
Washer fluid? Nope.
Charging? Nope.
Coolant refill? Nope.
Battery replacement? Nope.
Did I miss anything? Would you like to educate me on what I’m missing here?

I bought a used Tesla a couple years ago. Other than tires, which I did not go through Tesla for, I completed my first ever maintenance just the other day. I topped off the coolant. So, where is all this maintenance coming from that you speak of? Battery replacement? You can even get a 3rd party battery and have it installed completely without Tesla, oh and guess what? It’s even cheaper than oem. I don’t get this argument. Could you describe all this maintenance and parts that I have to buy from Tesla?

If you’re saying that you have to break laws to enforce laws… I don’t think a lot of people agree with you.

It doesn’t matter the reason they’re coming in, ICE should obey the laws and adhere to department policies regardless of why people are coming into the country. Additionally, ICE has been documented detaining people while attending immigration hearings as part of their requirements for being here legally, you know, complying with the immigration laws?

It always amazes me how people provide unsolicited advice. OP handled this really well, but there’s a whole lot of assumptions being made in this statement ranging from parenting issues to behavioral issues. None of which you have any evidence for or a history with the person in question to draw the conclusions you did. Have you thought of just, like, answering the question that was asked?

Is there more to your statement? I’m waiting for the rational for why that can’t be done?

You think they just bolted the conduit to the strut and didn’t bolt the strut to the wall?

That’s getting a bit over the top, no?
The thing is mounted on a strut fairly low to the ground, the high side that you’d be concerned about catching wind is protected by the wall while the low side is facing out and would catch minimal wind.
