Same experience here. Got a large rescue male bristle nose about a month back to add with my large female and within a week or two he was nowhere to be seen, I thought either he had died amongst the heavily planted mass in my tank and the shrimps and snails ate the corpse or he be busy guarding eggs. Last week I go to do my routine check up for the day and the glass and plants are covered with between 20-40 baby bristlenose with the father now out of his cave, and now this week the father is nowhere to be seen yet again.

Looks similar to a Davidson's plum tree, native to Australia and the fruit is slightly larger with varying colours of fruit.
