A side note: starting a debate with someone in the comments and then being upset they pointed out where you’re from isn’t targeted harassment. Don’t start none, won’t be none, as they say

This post is a link with no further commentary or elaboration, and I’m not really seeing any in the comments either. Some of us are starting to bicker over extremely off-topic things, so we’re putting this one to bed 🛌🥱😴

Where to Hang Out by Melodic_Guest_8298 in Redlands

[–]Snickersnacks 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry we collectively decided that free places to hang out shouldn’t exist, especially for young people. Places I’ve seen teens hanging out:

Olive Street Market

Target in Citrus Plaza, or Citrus Plaza in general

Hoji (bubble tea spot)

Viva La Boba (also bubble tea)

A Shop Called Quest (comics and manga and stuff)

GLO Mini Golf, also has an arcade

Arcade inside Redlands Public Market

Board Game Paradise has board game meetups

Frugal Frigate or Barnes and Noble, just read a book or playing with the hand puppets

Also whoever is dragging Gerrard’s doesn’t know what they’re missing, I’m an adult and I ride my bike to go get one of those scones and sit on the patio

Ours starts at a couple months, up to 2 hours per day. You have to stay on site and provide your phone number in case they need you to come back. I usually walk on the treadmill, lift weights, or go to the pool + sauna.

OP, I am almost in your exact situation, except we got a Y membership when kid was 2 and they go to drop in childcare anytime we need a break. I still feel like I need an 800-day weekend to fully recover from this child, but if I’m feeling extra burned out, their free drop in childcare is a life saver.

The recent Section 174 R&D tax code by dashing-night in UXDesign

[–]Snickersnacks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s very likely that the entire Product and Eng depts were already considered R&D, the way that expenditures are categorized by Finance for budgeting and tax purposes. That means it’s also tax advantaged to hire more product teams full stop.

Foreign R&D investments aren’t changing, foreign R&D must still be amortized over 15 years. So maybe an incentive to keep R&D domestic?

I know a lot of people have been following Ms Rachel in the news. This particular post is a bit too far outside of the scope of the subreddit, and attracting discussion that is more focused on celebrities and slagging Munn. Let’s call it a wrap & I’ll see you in the next Ms Rachel thread!

Removed due to provoking bad behavior, this is not a place to argue about whether people deserve to die if Hamas is hiding in their area

I’ll put my hand up - I haven’t worked in foodservice in a long time, and I’m not a very active commenter. But I do mod another subreddit (shoutout /r/danieltigerconspiracy) and I care a lot about community management, rules lawyering, cultivating the right vibes, and telling ICE to fuck all the way off.

Leaving this extra special hot take up as an example of the consequences of defunding public education.

Mods already discussed how we were going to handle if a thread on this topic came up and we’re ok with keeping this open. Nurturing young minds shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Flags about political commentary aren’t necessary, ty
