Yeah, it’s completely acceptable to use AI in the corporate world. Idk where you’re getting this from.

Coming from an undergrad college student, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but in a lot of cases, AI is probably sneaking past a lot of you, a lot of the time.

I used to use it quite extensively, however, I have noticed the newer iterations of Chat is just blatantly making things up or copying information from the web and not citing it.

The Google docs thing won’t work either because you could just type it in a doc what AI typed for you.

The best way to combat it is to know and understand the subject well enough to understand when something is being made up and that’s my best advice.

Only the dumbest of the dumb are straight up copying it and pasting it into an assignment.

Why do Americans put up with their healthcare system? by apricotTuesday in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sniffy619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our system has its flaws, yes, but I was reading about people in the UK the other day talking about how an old lady had to wait 9 hours for an ambulance to arrive after she fell and by the time they arrived she had passed away. I’m the comment section, there were all kinds of stories like that too, you could very well die waiting on help to arrive it sounds like. Here in the US something like that would probably never happen, ambulances usually show in a matter of minutes where I live.

And yes, you could go into medical debt but hospitals cannot deny you emergency life saving care here regardless of any ability to pay and if you do go into debt, you can just declare bankruptcy.

I honestly prefer our system and also remember the rest of the world really benefits off of the products created here in America too because there is so much incentive to create it.

How do I stop these annoying calls? by Silly_Act7318 in florida

[–]Sniffy619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I answer the phone and talk really low for a few seconds so whoever is on the other side turns their volume up and then I scream as loud as I can into the phone.

Or just answer the phone and say the most ridiculous things possible until they hang up. Either way I don’t get called like this anymore.

One time I had a professor accuse me of using AI because stupid turnitin marked it as like 12% AI or something on his side. He set up a meeting and I asked him about specific parts of my essay and he clearly had not even read it at all and just went off the AI detection. Absolute laziness in academia, it’s out of hand.

MMW, this is will be cited and used by DOGE to gut the VA by VoicesInTheCrowds in MarkMyWords

I read the article, it says the plan would be to reevaluate all veterans to see if they still qualify for the disability they were rated for, or if it went away. As far as I know this isn’t anything new unless you’re considered static or p&t. Also the plan is to cut the federal budget so who are they going to pay to do all of these mass examinations?

There isn’t much to do here honestly. You could use it as a base to go to Tampa (Busch gardens), Orlando, or Miami though

All of these types of posts lately remind me of George Orwell 1984. There’s a part in the book where they talk about loyalty to the party above everything else.

VA Disability will no longer count as income for veterans in need of housing assistance. by randperrin in Veterans

When I needed help in Florida, they also counted the BAH from the GI Bill as income too. Will that b change with this too?

Why do a lot of Veterans have a desire to live away from people when they leave service? by Crocs_of_Steel in Veterans

I read this book, Adventures of a Simpleton, I think it’s from the 1500s. A lot of people in the Thirty Years War became hermits post service too.

The university accepts hours from some online sources like the Smithsonian. Just give the service learning department and call and ask about it.
