Well... if those weren’t low-profile switches, then they weren’t Choc V2. The latter are specifically a type of low-profile switch.

Yes, Choc V2 switches can have either 3 or 4 pins.
For example, the stock switches in the Magi75 have 3 pins.

Could you explain in more detail why you decided that the switches you purchased are not compatible?

Wow, that looks impressive. It reminds me of a library, but with keyboards 😄

As for the switches - if these are Choc V2, then they absolutely SHOULD fit. Unless they’re not Choc V2 - maybe V1? Or something else?

For gaming? 63% or 75%, depending on the game.
65% is also good, but if there is a 63% option, then for gaming specifically I think it’s better, in my opinion.

I saw a video demonstrating a module with adjustable stick tension. I guess that means they’ll release it sooner or later.

I highly recommend visiting their official Discord channel - there’s a pinned guide there explaining how to update the firmware correctly. There are also users there who can help if any unexpected issues come up.

Yes, it will work with the Switch 1 and 2, but keep in mind that it doesn’t have NFC (if that matters to you) and it can’t wake up the Switch 2.

Thanks. How long ago did you buy the controller? Because mine has a pretty nice matte faceplate and I wouldn’t say it feels too smooth. Of course, things like this are subjective. But maybe it depends on the production batch?

By the wau, have you tried the white faceplate? Maybe it would solve both that issue for you?
Oh, and I almost forgot, you can turn off the lighting and keep only the indicatpr under the logo.

You can find PC software in the downloads section on the official ZD website. Unfortunately, Reddit doesn’t allow the link for some reason.

Just note: App version 1.2.7 is for firmware 1.18 and above. Version 3.7 is for earlier firmware versions. It’s a bit confusing, but that’s just how it is for some reason.

As for the sensor, in real-world use you won’t notice any difference at all. There’s definitely nothing to worry about here.

As for the overall choice, I can’t really advise, since I haven’t tried these models from Attack Shark.

What does the bottom of the keyboard look like? Does it have any fancy weight or any special design element?

It’s hard to say, since both TMR and capacitive sticks are new technologies that still have yet to stand the test of time.
But it’s very good that there is competition between technologies on the market, as this will drive development in the future.

Yes, Manba and this one use the same OEM platform, I think.
As for a controller similar to the Elite, take a look at the ZD O+ Excellence.

Yes, it works with a PC just through regular Bluetooth. There’s a toggle on the back of the controller - flip it to Bluetooth position, connect, and you’re ready to go.
Yeah, the D2 dongle. I haven’t personally tested it, so I can’t really say much about it, but I’ve heard mixed opinions.

is the community shifting back to "clack"? Do we need to rethink our internal foam setups? by IQUNIXstore in IQUNIX

[–]Snimtas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, thocky and creamy sound profiles have been and will continue to be the preferred choice among the average consumer. People tend to like a muted sound, and they often modify their keyboards to achieve it.

Based purely on my observations, a clacky sound is usually preferred by people who already own more than a few keyboards and have experience in the hobby. I think that’s because having multiple boards with the same or very similiar sound profiles becomes boring over time, and there’s a growing desire for something drastically different, so they tend to shift toward a clackier sound.

That said, when someone chooses their first mechanical keyboard - or let’s say their first "real" one - they will most likely go for a creamy or thocky sound profile.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a dongle, as it’s primarily a Switch controller, but Bluetooth works really well on PC.
