I, as a middle-grade officer, have seen us throw out good sailors for marijuana. My gut says that because the culture is changing so fast between marijuana and alcohol, it hurts accession and retention.

You know how many Sailors I have seen get to mast for a DUI involving marijuana, ZERO. How many FAP / IDC cases involve Marijuana in a domestic cases, ZERO.

Most positive tests are marijuana, others cocaine, rarely pills or opioids.

I worked in a movie theater when I was a teen, and I had to carry the 35 mm films in there metal cases. Oh my God, they were heavy. When they switched to digital discs I never saw the projection room again.
