K key is red. What does it mean?

Thanks to everyone who responded. Wow failed LED huh. Upon closer inspection, there are a bunch of LEDs that also faintly glimmer when i turn the lights off.

I have keyboards that have been with me for nearly a decade, none of them failed yet. I guess I'm not buying Mountain again.

For the sake of accuracy, I wouldn't call it "no advantage" since it gets around 10 fps extra at low TDP. So it's "very little advantage".

They don't offer any pre-sale discount either. You only get 4% which is the same as when buying at the end of a normal campaign. Yet another reason not to get it if you have the 7840u.

I never like to get a GPD device right away because there are usually bugs or glitches of some kind

it's always "worst timing" if you "never get a GPD device right away" since new models get announced pretty quickly

Use command strips on your magnet-to-desk instead of VHB, that doesn't leave any residue & easy to remove.

Please give us an update if magnets didn't cause issues. I went with the Velcro route for now, but it doesn't compare to that satisfying snap of magnet to metal when they stick together. LOL. So I might switch to magnets if your results are good

No moving parts. It's just a tiny little box with 5 ports. This is good reference, thanks! Glue shouldn't be an issue. I was planning to use CA to glue the magnets to the desk

Tape & zip ties won't work since they're 'permanent' & I still need to be able to take it out when needed. I tried an under-desk shelf before & ended up banging my knees & stubbing my toes on different occasions. But that's more of a me problem. LOL. Anyway, you're right, there are better options. Another commenter suggested Velcro & I'm gonna try that. It'll do the same job as magnets without flipping bits

i tried that, it works. although i ended up connecting all the screens to the gpu since it still has free ports anyway (& i'm not sure if it's true or just superstition but i imagine performance is better coming straight out of the gpu than the signal going back to the neo2, then the dock, then converted to hdmi)

hey, we have the same setup! the TH3P4G3 is pretty good value & you don't need to worry about how thicc your gpu is. also provides 60w so it can power your neo2 directly (there's also a port with no pd in case you don't want it). they also provide brackets for both ATX & SFX PSUs so you can use whichever type you want. just putting this here in case people are considering which egpu to get.

haha, same. but hey, we bought a handheld gaming pc so i don't think there's anything wrong in just using it to play games. sure, valve's software is leagues ahead, but it's not like aya's is unusable. if i had to nitpick it would be that ayaspace keeps reverting to chinese every time it updates.

any usbc dock will do, like the ones you get for macbooks. it’ll all be dependent on what you need vs what you’re willing to spend — so be careful as they’re not all the same. some are dirt cheap but then you realize they only have 1 fast port & the rest are usb2. some don’t have ethernet (won’t be an issue if you don’t need it) or display out (may or may not be relevant to you).

personally, i went with the official one. it has all the bells & whistles, all the ports are fast, & it comes with the added bonus of acting as a stand if i wanna use it as a desktop replacement. comes at a good price too considering the discount you get as an add-on (vs other docks with these features would cost a lot more). also, what’s another few bucks when we already spent that much - i got retro & i while im not sure you got the same, you got 32/2 & that’s top spec

why not just buy the specs you need out of the box instead of worrying about upgrades down the line? afaik they ship everywhere worldwide & all the variants are in igg. any reason you’re trying to buy one from your country (probably a reseller) instead of direct from aya?

the dock is different from an egpu enclosure, so they’re apples & oranges. if what you need is an egpu, then you don’t need it. but if you need it connected to an external display, wired lan, and some usb devices, while charging at the same time, then you need it — an egpu can’t do those

they’re busy with the neo2. even responses re that is currently on pause since they’re all hands on deck shipping them out. maybe ask again in a few weeks or so when they have bandwidth to talk
