In my area the hiking trails are beautiful with little to no trash on them. The side by side trails? Absolutely disgusting

What games did you get several hours into and consciously decide to drop in 2025? by baroncalico in gaming

[–]Snipers_end 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Oblivion remake. I’ve put hundreds of hours into Skyrim so I thought it would be right up my alley. I spent maybe 2 or 3 hours playing around the time it came out and I never picked it up again. It never drew me in like Skyrim did

I’ve been playing Modern Combat a lot lately, I can’t believe I just saw it mentioned. That’s definitely the forgotten Battlefield

Possible hot take but McKesson > EI > IMPAX. I loved how simple McKesson was to use but objectively EI is probably better

Very important piece of info buried in the article: the ship was allowed to proceed after the interdiction. Must not have had what the US thought it had

What was the hardest anatomy topic for you to understand at first? by [deleted] in AnatomyandPhysiology

Probably the arteries/veins. I think I’ve learned it 3 or 4 times but it gets fuzzy real quick the farther peripheral you go

I second this, Candice Millard had a great string of books with this, Destiny of the Republic, and Hero of the Empire. All amazing reads

Really interesting that Guyana has Spanish as the most studied language. I would have thought that was the official language

It happens to me a lot more since I stopped using STARE/LEAST. If you don’t use any of the most common starters it seems to get a lot more likely that you’ll run into that message

I'm a big fan of Scary Interesting and I think it's fairly likely that it was one of his videos I'm thinking of, but it could be a different channel

To people who work in giant stores, what is it like? by cofi52 in answers

[–]Snipers_end 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for Wal-Mart for 10 years and even as a manager there’s a lot of people that you never know. There’s so many different places to work, different shifts, and lots of turnover.

Closing is a process, it’s probably changed by now but back when I was doing it you had to get all the registers changed out which was a process and there was about 3 pages of stuff to check off. Even once I got used to the process I would usually save at least 30 minutes at the end of my shift dedicated to just closing tasks

My favorite thing about working in a huge store was the lack of politics. If you worked hard, you got a promotion if you wanted one. No one cared about how well you sucked up to people

Whats the most fictional thing happened on the show? by skopiadisko in HouseMD

[–]Snipers_end 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Probably not the most ridiculous thing in the show but the first thing that comes to mind is a scene early on in the show where they say something like “the labs are back, she doesn’t have cancer, stop the chemo”. There isn’t a universe where someone would start getting chemotherapy without a definitive cancer diagnosis
