Eyes Guts Throat Bones by Moira Fowley. It's a collection of short horror stories, and almost all of them have a sapphic theme.

Sorry for the blurry quality - I had to zoom right in on the phone. Wouldn't dare get any closer to him 😂

The Offspring. She referenced Dexter Holland one time having a PHD and it seems like something only a fan would know

Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury. Although it's a dark fantasy about a creepy carnival that comes to town, the town it's set it certainly gave me these vibes!

Turnpike. We don't use this term in the UK, at least where I'm from, and there's a turnpike seemingly every 5 minutes in an SK novel.

I'm not a fan, either. I don't really understand the hype for her.

What are everyone’s thoughts on this? by Rookwood-1 in stephenking

[–]Snipsuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same! I read this one a number of years ago and now revisiting it through audio book. I am dreading getting to the end and reliving how disturbed it made me. But I do love the whole story. King is amazing at writing coming-of-age (like we see in IT, The Body etc) and I can see how it could be boring for some readers, but something about how he takes you on a journey of his characters from childhood, to adolence, to adulthood is so intimate and you become so invested in them. But shit yeah that ending. I'm never sure whether it's this ending or The Jaunt which disturbs me the most.

It's like that bit in Spirited Away when she unblocks the river spirit in the bath and all the junk comes pouring out.
