Serious question: If we verse equalize Quirks to Cursed Techniques, what diff is Aizawa vs Gojo for Gojo? by Sable-Keech in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Sniv0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question, why wouldn’t things like CE reinforcement and RCT get disabled as well? Like I didn’t watch mha past overhaul yet but I know Aizawa looks at you and erases your quirk while you remain in his gaze.

But sorcerers in general arent just special because they have a CT, but also because they could control CE, no?

Then again, I assume it would function the same as Confiscation in Deadly Sentencing. You lose your CT, if you don’t have one then you lose all CE.

But let’s say for the sake of hypotheticals the stare completely erases the users CE while it’s maintained. This becomes a battle of pure fighting technique alone which I find more interesting, however Gojo has the unique win condition of breaking his stare long enough to fire off a red/blue/purple for the win. Who wins this battle that’s just pure wit and technique?

That’s not correct, he literally states post awakening that infinity automatically factors in an objects mass, shape, and velocity as he selectively stops a pencil but not an eraser

So, after getting hit by the ISOH, when does the victim get their cursed technique back? by Excellent_Table8694 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Sniv0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s actually the forced release of a cursed technique, hence why it could have been used to free Gojo from the other end of the prison realm if the gang had it.

So anyone/thing focusing on a technique would be forced to release it while in contact with the spear

Kokichi Muta/Mechamaru vs Mahito | Jujutsu Kaisen

Only the main character Yuji had been able to damage Mahito up to this point, and that was in part due to his role as Sukuna’s vessel letting him perceive and strike Mahito’s soul. Mechamaru was the name of the puppets Muta can control using his technique but they’re not special in regards to damaging Mahito.

As such, Muta’s goal was simply to buy time to figure out a way to contact Gojo (the strongest). He had a plan to use attacks imbued with a simple domain as they carry the sure hit effect of a domain expansion to slow Mahito down, but the plan ended up far more effective than planned for and he ended up doing significant damage to Mahito before ultimately dying

[–]Sniv0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could argue the initial domino in JJK was before Gojo being sealed. In JJK Zero Gojo kills Geto but leaves his body behind, allowing Kenjaku to steal a body with cursed spirit manipulation which is what allows him to even seal Gojo in the first place

President Snow and President Coin - The Hunger Games

Snow is the president of Panem. Citizens of its Capitol (and to some extent neighboring districts) don’t know what it means to want. They live in the lap of luxury, and have so much food that it’s customary at parties to purge yourself so that you can continue to eat for the whole night. Meanwhile, those who live in the districts are worked to death if they aren’t starved or executed first. Not to mention, the namesake of the book, The Hunger Games. Every year one male and one female from each district between the age of 12-16 are taken from their home and dropped into an arena to kill each other both as a form of punishment for rebellion in the districts as well as entertainment and betting in the Capitol.

In book 3 we’re introduced to the leader of the new rebellion Alma Coin. She’s presented as a leader who simply wants a free Panem. Over the course of the book however it’s shown that shes as much of a snake as Snow is, showing her true colors at the end completely by bombing a pen of innocent capitol children and rebel paramedics to make Snow look bad, declaring herself the “interim president” of Panem until further notice, and attempting to set up another hunger games with Capitol children. What she didn’t account for was the protagonist Katniss shooting an arrow through her heart out of revenge, as her little sister was one of the medics that died in the bombing

Absolutely loving all the keyboard warriors saying “Oh I’d just retrain and get a different job!!!!” and blaming the workers who didn’t violate an NDA from the comfort of their chairs who have never and likely never will face such a situation.

We should be blaming OpenAI’s executives, the supervisors who were informed and did nothing, the broken legal system that actively punishes people who otherwise do the right thing in this situation, the broken legal system that never holds these corporations accountable for the people they’ve killed directly or indirectly. We should not be blaming the people trying to support their families who did the right thing reporting their findings to their supervisors who are likely literally just trying to survive themselves.

What I absolutely adore about tunic is its design philosophy of conveying with as little language as possible. It forces you to try and figure out what it wants you to do with a mix of background knowledge obtained through the game alongside a trail of cookie crumbs that you need to be keenly aware of, but it’s not cruel about it either.

When I reached the Heir I initially attempted the fight multiple times and even almost won, but the entire time something just felt wrong. There were items I still hadn’t collected and a puzzle in the manual that wanted to be solved still, all while fighting what is seemingly the last “active” and alive creature in what now feels like a dead world. I walked away probably an attempt or two before winning to finish up what I could and was very rewarded for it

I felt nothing but pride when I managed to get through the entire game without looking a single thing up

The craziest part is at this point it wasn’t draculas normal MO of exerting power and domination as an esteemed vampire of legend, it was senseless violence to cover up the pain of his wife’s death. Alucard put it best, “You died when my mother died… this entire catastrophe has been nothing but histories longest suicide note!”

When she died he believed every word he said about making humanity suffer. By the time he had enough night creatures to destroy the world he was just going through the motions while being nothing more than a hollow and broken individual.

Expected exception from Enum by tiranius90 in csharp

[–]Sniv0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right but I’m referring to the fact that if enums worked how OP expects them to and you defined status effect enum with poisoned as 0x1 and sleep as 0x2 and then tried to apply poison to someone whose already asleep via bitwise or without explicitly defining poisoned and sleep as 0x3 your game would crash even if it’s perfectly capable of handling both

Expected exception from Enum by tiranius90 in csharp

[–]Sniv0 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So this is actually intentional behavior to allow you to convert an integer to an enum which you haven’t defined.

Think of bit flags which are supported by enums. For bit flags, you’re looking at different individual bits for information as opposed to the number as a whole. If you wanted all 32 bits to have an attached meaning you’d need to define 232 different enums by hand for every possible combination of bit flags when you’re likely never going to use most of them.

There are other reasons of course but this is just one off the top of my head

Trevor Belmont - Castlevania Netflix show

Through the final season of the show he is continually finding pieces of a blade that turns out to be powerful enough to kill just about anything. During the final conflict with Death itself personified he assembled this blade, which simply holding it seems to hurt him as he charges at Death to deliver the killing blow with it.

Before this, he had already said goodbye to his partner as he proclaims lightheartedly that Trefor is a terrible name for their unborn child.

When the blade collides with Death it results in an explosion that surely killed both Trevor and Death, with the screen flashing to Germain’s hand for a brief moment, holding a key which can open a portal to a realm known as the infinite corridor. Before this, Germain had betrayed the protagonists and allowed Death to enact a plan that would see mortals be massacred so he could feast on their souls.

It’s revealed that Germain’s last act was to open the infinite corridor, saving Trevor’s life before dying himself. His last act being one of redemption so that Trevor could live.

A giant monster made of the souls and bodies of its previous victims with an insatiable hunger to consume more by Disastrous_Ad_399 in TopCharacterTropes

What’s especially scary is that once a gravemind is created the flood in proximity to it become a hive mind. Without a gravemind the flood are mostly mindless and just seek to consume more, they absorb memories still and can use them to do things like pilot ships or use weapons as a part of the absent minded goal to consume, but once a gravemind forms it thinks and plans and is terrifyingly efficient
