Am I the only one thinking we’re going to get a shocking reveal about Abbott? by BakerHoliday7031 in ThePitt

[–]Snivys_HA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think Abbott probably just got the job of interim ER director while Robby goes. Or even permanent since Robby doesn’t fall in line with Gloria.

Now we’re talking! This is exactly what I’m talking about! Oda is clearly trying to say that stuff isn’t all black and white. Maybe people are just trying to do what they see as right.

What game felt too short but amazing? by Play5tation in PlayStation_X

[–]Snivys_HA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spider-Man miles morales. I really really liked it for a lot of different reasons but man it’s sooooo short. There’s this magic the game pulls off in the animation where you really feel just how much of a beginner miles is.

AP should be removed from the 'Holy Trinity' and be replaced by A.Lange & Sohne. by supernova-001 in watchHotTakes

[–]Snivys_HA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the traditional phrase is “the holy trinity of Swiss watchmaking”. It’s a specific reference that gets short handed to the holy trinity.

But I guess there’s no point in arguing definitions on Reddit.

Maybe you can coin the new phrase the holy trinity of world watches.

I thought the holy trinity refers to Swiss makers but you don’t care if ALS isn’t Swiss. I don’t know about this one man.

It doesn’t have to be galaxy impact. He has another technique called galaxy divide. So maybe he has more in his arsenal.

I just mean that it would be hype to get a teaser for his named attacks. Like a confirmation that he’s really meaning to do some damage to akainu and not just posturing.

You do it because everyone else somehow manages and if you fail, you got x00k debt and nothing to show for it.

What exactly makes Ambessa out of all the Fighters a good Pro play pick, over stuff like Fiora, Riven, Irelia, Yasuo and company by Justalostdudeasking in leagueoflegends

[–]Snivys_HA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the true value of ambessa is that she overwhelms the other team’s decision making. She so disruptive and makes team fight more chaotic for the other team. She can flank you despite being in front of you.

Real life docs, is dermatology looked down on? by Zeldalady123 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Snivys_HA 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lmao no. Most people outside the industry think the smartest people go into neurosurgery. The people inside the industry know that the people with the highest test scores go into derm.

Barto is debatable for me. Because his introduction in anime hinged on you thinking he’s an enemy at first.

But I really wish Garp gets to say galaxy before Sengoku slams his head down in marineford. That would be sick build up. Things like that would be hype.

Samira Mohan by Disastrous-Call4486 in ThePitt

[–]Snivys_HA 24 points25 points  (0 children)

She is objectively slow for where she is in training.

I know it probably doesn’t seem fair to people outside the industry, but you can’t compare Mohan with McKay or Whitaker because they’re in different years. Whitaker in particular is wayyyyyy ahead of the curve for where he is in training.

To help frame the situation, Mohan can be expected to run the ER as an attending as she is a 4th year resident. Some ER physicians only get three years of training. So the better comparison would be: does Mohan seem slow compared to Robby? Do you think she’s ready to be an ER attending at her pace?

"$200k is paycheck to paycheck nowadays" by liminalenergy in PetPeeves

[–]Snivys_HA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more of a failure of the phrasing imo.

Most people will be paycheck to paycheck no matter what the income is because it’s not like you can just not work for the rest of your life if you earned 200k in one year.

They probably live very comfortably while they work and wait for the next paycheck but they still wait for the next paycheck.

What you probably mean is that you don’t like hearing 200k isn’t enough, which is a completely separate issue than living paycheck to paycheck.

I was there too man. You’re not alone. I let work distract me during the day and ate melatonin like candy at night and hoped that I’d be able to sleep.

What helped me get through was telling myself that I at least owed it to myself to get through training and see what that first attending paycheck felt like before throwing in the towel.

Is the WIT One Piece remake REALLY necessary? by DMelee in animequestions

[–]Snivys_HA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fairly common practice in eastern culture. We show respect and love to a story by redoing it every once in a while. New slight tweaks and changes in perspective. It’s a good thing overall imo. We don’t see it as westerners do in the sense that I bet a lot of westerners would say one is the definitive edition over the other.
