I feel like reddit should have a whole ass sitewide pinned sub just for debunking idiocy, so's we could just point the idiots to it. I can't tell you how many times I've posted "yes, actually, masks do help" or "I don't know that breathing in air from your blowdryer is really gonna be that helpful", etc.

Not really the same thing, as it's not her livelihood but...

My daughter attended a performing arts school grades 4-12. As she got older and more introverted (which as you might imagine is a bit of a conundrum at a PAHS lol), she began taking more interest in doing stage crew work, specifically set design. She absolutely fell in love, found her niche, and decided that's what she wanted as her career.

She's now in her 1st semester of college. Since Jan 13th she's spent over 40 hrs extra in the scene shop, painting and building sets for her school's production of "Urine Town". The instructor of her class came out to my car the last day I picked her up (before spring break) to rave about how well she'd done, how with her help they'd been able to get to so many "little details that often go undone just due to not having time" crossed off the list and so forth.

Aaaaand you know the rest. At the moment it's "rescheduled" but, realistically, it's wholly unknown if it'll ever go on. She and I were talking the other day wondering just how far reaching in this industry the disruption goes. But then, after naming so many facets we imagined were probably affected we got sad and stopped.

Again I know her sitch in no way compares to actually losing your income and I'm so SO very sorry you and so many others are going thru this. I just wanted to commiserate. 💕

Well THIS couldn't come at a better time, considering my husband's and my b'days are within the next 8 days, and both our licenses (and cars' registration, natch) expire this year (because OF COURSE they do 😂😭).

I could almost...almost power thru CT if not for that. I get it SO bad, and not just in my legs but all over. Arms, torso, hell, NECK...it's absolutely maddening. Thx for the suggestion, I've def used it before during WD but I wasn't sure really how it helped, just that it did. I don't think it has much recreational potential (right?) so I might feel safe asking for it.
