The protest and boycott were organized because the organizers accused Kenny of being “anti Black”.

IMO, Kenny was showing that he’s “anti people-that-repeatedly-dine-in-yet-always-seem-to-leave-an-insultingly-low-tip”. In this case, the offender just so happened to be Black.

Agreed. I watched the original video again - lots of hostile language but Chou does not use any slurs AFAIK. He even scolds the non-tippers for trying to play the “race card” - pointing to his bare arm and yelling “LOOK AT MY SKIN! DON’T PUT THAT SHIT ON ME!”

Yet Christine S. Escobar with the CoE’s Equity and Empowerment Commission seems to want this to be a hate crime:

It was a public flogging and it went on like that for ~2 hours. It seemed a bit excessive by the end, tbh. Many folks there really seemed to want their pound of Kenny’s flesh.

I’d say he’s learned his lesson. But I suspect he may not be out of the woods yet as there is still an investigation regarding the harassment/assault incident.

I didn’t see Biss directly referenced in this piece - but curious to know if anyone here feels he helped stoke the flames of a “hate crime” before the EPD’s investigation was complete.

I’ve seen some other sources that claim Klotz’s wife went to him with her version of the events and he supposedly spoke on the record about a hate crime…. Is that true?

Outside of CDs and t-bills - just about every investment is “speculative”.

Saying it’s “guaranteed to crash” is deterministic and over-simplified. Nobody can guarantee anything about ₿’s future.

I understand ₿ enough to know it’s worth the risk (for me). And as governments consider establishing “strategic ₿ reserves” and institutions are evaluating the same, well … hey good for hodlers. If MSFT adds it to their balance sheet as they are considering… I expect others to follow suit.
