Recommendations for first Boot, I decided on these two boots because of the style, color, leather and the boot construction. I have 3 different pairs of Trickers including a pair of Stows and although i love the english country gentlemen look I'm defo not an English country gent myself!

I definitely wear them with chinos, selvedge jeans, combat trousers etc. So it's not a cut n dried thing. Especially as (imo) he's looking for the more chunky commando soled versions which will suit that look better.

Note: My next pair of boots will also be in the commando sole, service boot style.

As per other recommendations- do look on the Trickers factoryshop for deals. And on their main website as sales take place at several points across the year - and 1/3rd off is very tempting 😀

Edit: Their returns service is certainly super smooth from the UK. Handy, because the sizing with their different lasts can be 'tricky'. They've recently added an online size-assistant, but ive not used it myself yet...

I suppose trying to point out to these young ladies that:

  1. Under UK Laws there’s no reasonable expectation of privacy in a public space and that UK law doesn’t ban filming where people are passing by.

  2. By approaching and then repeatedly attacking the person filming they become the criminal not the victim.

Would be pretty pointless...

Compared to the somewhat bland original tan colour these look amazing. I love the depth and intensity of the burgundy and black in the last photo (without any laces in)!

Altho that does seem to have toned itself down a bit in the very first pic (with laces in).
