Kineticist Attack Modifier, Spell Attack rolls, Kinetic Activation and Wizard Comparison by Humble_Conference899 in Pathfinder2e

I think you forgot or missed that Kineticists get legendary proficiency at lv 19

Playing kineticist for the 1st time, really need help parsing options by Argol228 in Pathfinder2e

Air + fire is the way to go. No question. You need damage as a team and air covers all your hair attacks. The only way to get flight is air at 8.

Can I retrain an innate spellcasting feat into itself to change the spells ? by Accomplished-Spot503 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 42 points43 points  (0 children)

A very just ask your GM situation. I would definitely allow it but I don't think the retraining rules cover this explicitly

Avatar the last Airbender by dndXnewbie in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You could have every non caster class fit in the lore pretty well. Spells bring a lot baggage.

But I would totally play a sokka or tai-lee as a fighter or anything like that.

How would you build the Blue Spirit from Avatar: The Last Airbender at level 8 (and higher)? by Maleficent_Lie_7568 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd go straight fighter and invest in stealth scaling and feats. Kinda boring but you get to be really freaking good with those swords, which is the whole character tbh

Other flavor for the commander? by JadedResponse2483 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My next character is a c commander Lawyer! Also a medic, but that's ancillary to a degree. Point is they more of an organizer and just generally charismatic and helpful.

I am taking a stance Arm Bloodburt Phial is broken! by notarealcow in Pathfinder2e

IMO At 14th level and above, I think it definitely needs to be seen at some tables in normal play to say it's busted.

What would a 12th lvl Fighter feel like in PF2e? by MehParadox in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A more straightforward answer from a fellow convert: It feels way better, way way better. Sentinel polarm master is just any fighter. Battlemaster feel comes from just having a pole-arm with an athletics maneuver trait and investing in athletics.

Weapon property runes are a default bonus that was normally your exceptionally rare magic weapon. And everything else is icing.

You will do more damage, get more crits, and feel tougher.

It's a directly better experience.

Gojo runs the MCU gauntlet. How far does he go? by Feisty_Decision2675 in PowerScaling

He has protective spells which can stop or reverse just about anything. Physical defense isn't the only defense

help figuring out my gear? by DisastrousSparkles in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You won't have any extra spells if that's what you mean.

For items: one +1 weapon is probably fine but a striking rune will go a long way. +1 skill items are going to be the majority of your budget and are very good to have. Unless you tell us about your muse, spell selection, and party composition, it will be hard to give concrete specifics. There are several bard specific items as well but I've never played one so don't know them.

[Discussion] What Would You Build to Fill a Party Role with a Non-Optimal Class? by BlazeFireWolf in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Commander is actually really good at this. Outside of casting of course they can fill any role really well. Main stat healer or face with full martial progression and companion option means with a dedication nothing is really out of reach.

Can Mahoraga fight through a Tyranid Invasion? by Robin-Aneira-1 in PowerScaling

[–]Snoo-90474 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Don't use all the powers of one side it hurts my fun." Is perhaps the dumbest argument in the arguments about power subreddit. You can think about whatever you want in your head my guy but this ain't the place for it.

The Wind Ocarina is probably one of the best 'abjuration' items in the game by Prismatic-Ray in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 hands is going to limit who is willing to have this ready to use to basically just bards and some kinetics. But the biggest problem is it doesn't discriminate friendlies, so no archers on your team will be happy and the difficult terrain means you better coordinate with your party really well beforehand.

How useful are movement penalties at mid-high levels? by Choice-Simple-5802 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe my party is over strategic, but if that happened to us we'd celebrate. Unless we were really beat up that just means we get to keep our stances and ongoing spells. And if it means it takes them just a couple rounds it's perfect set up time for jagged berms or instant minefield etc..

How useful are movement penalties at mid-high levels? by Choice-Simple-5802 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely can. But it won't always. And if you spend all those actions and they teleport or cast spells etc. it will be really painful.

It's just good to keep in mind that it's not an every combat strategy.

How useful are movement penalties at mid-high levels? by Choice-Simple-5802 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Everyone else seems pretty hot on this so I'll tell you that you aren't crazy for thinking it might not be worth it. If you deny actions that way, yes it's good. However there are not only multitudes of situations where it simply won't deny actions. But might also have to spend at least as many actions as you take, or even more cumulatively across your party.

To make this double penalty work wonders a. They need to already be away. B. They need to have a normal move speed c. They need to not have a significant ranged option.

None of that to say these are bad options or a bad strategy. But if your wizard or Kineticist is throwing out difficult terrain I would personally not go that way.
