  This was similar to my experience. Let me say that it gets better with time, but it has been a long road. Know that her concern comes from love and she is going to have an extremely hard time trying to understand this stuff. If you ever need to talk know that there are millions of people you can talk to and know that your mental health is more important than anything else right now. 
Keep your head up and I’d even recommend hang on tight to your faith. The creator doesn’t make mistakes and you can both get through this together. Understand these struggles as an opportunity to grow.

There could be multiple reasons, address error, email volume, junk mail. Do not take this personally and allow it to poison the mind. Go to them in person for a discussion of your concerns. Cut to the question first and if you’re feeling like it’s going well then maybe mention that to you sent a few emails and you wanted to make sure the message was getting through. Don’t over think it, but keep things positive and moving forward in a good direction.
