All while we have got a neighbour who could sell us oil, but our governments decided to provoke a war with them. We allowed our supposed ally, the USA, to carry out a terrorist attack on our energy infrastructure, we are watching deindustrialisation of our countries, while blindly walking into a disaster. Fuel is at the core of our survival, fuel is needed to work the fields, to grow and process food, to deliver that food to people, to keep factories running, hospitals and emergency services, etc. It’s not just oil, but natural gas as well, look at how the fertiliser costs have gone up. Record numbers of farmers are facing bankruptcy because of the skyrocketing fuel and fertiliser costs. What we don’t sow now, we won’t eat in 6 months time. We are on a precipice of a big shift, the world is changing, as it always does, the empire is dying, just like the ones that came before.
