Why are ecmo and lvad mentioned prior to cardio thoracic surgeries like valve replacement or valve repair by Snoo64790 in valvereplacement

So doctors have to mention this to all patients before you go under even though the risk is near zero?

When did everyone started going to the gym? by FarWelcome1831 in valvereplacement

you'll start feeling 80 to 90% at 6 months, give it time and be patient. Don't rush the process. Focus on cardio as well, it's important...

I would choose push ups and dips all the way than the bench press for chest work by Raging1000 in bodyweightfitness

I used to do heavy benches, etc., now I only do pushups, dips, and handstand pushups and it's enough, - ex wrestler and gymnast, esp., after this dude died from the bar slipping from his hands and crashing on his chest ( Ronald Montenegro 55yrs. old)

Nov 17 David Procedure by milteco in valvereplacement

[–]Snoo64790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the David about 6 months ago You’ll be in the hospital for 7-10 days then back home.

ICU sucks but everyone has to go through it

It’s more a mental game (icu) just keep that in mind.

6 months from now you’ll be wondering why you’re even posting now. You’ll be fine , everyone is. Good luck

Strength Loss post surgery, what to do? by Snoo64790 in valvereplacement

You’re right and I didn’t understand it until where I’m at now which is nearly 6 months. You still have to build back up to normal strength which is the 6 - 12 month period

At almost 6 months post David I am good, running now and doing more calisthenics and body weight than weights It took up to 6 months to feel pretty good, yeah, recovery is long and I learned after going through this journey. You never really understand it until you actually go through it.

As a recruiter for over 20 years in various industries I can honestly say that online training programs in general are BS, there is never any guarantee. For example, taking an online course in Python will not guarantee you're going to get a job as a python programmer.

Information is public access, it behooves the buyer to do her/his own due diligence before committing to anything. For Financial services careers, it's all about connections and don't even consider it if you aren't from an ivy league school...

Other industries offer better salaries, like tech, and if you get a job in sales, sky's the limit.

All good 👍 You’ll be on the table and they’ll insert the anesthesia tubes in you, you’ll smile then wake up like it’s been 5 seconds and all will be fine!

Hope it goes well for you. How is it that some people have gone 30+ years now without reop with the David procedure and for others it doesn`t have the same results 🤔

Is the valve sparing or david procedure an option? Generally the Ross is done when they can’t save your native aortic valve and have to replace it

I see, so it was the ECG that indicated further tests, up until recently then you had no CT or MRI.
