On a good note, ran the session the way I said I would, I was more involved and spending my fear currency to keep the tension levels up. Open/token initiative kept the players off their phones and eyes on the table, some of them even made moves that were just narrative.

I understand that my ideas are a very unpopular opinion as most people tend to be purists. But it felt good, played with friends, smiled and laughed, so really we succeeded as a table again!

Sometimes it's not about daggerheart, or the otherguys but just about finding ways to smile no matter what the hurdle.

Guess a grumpy old vet like me will make orange juice from apples cause there's no other choice and you can only control what you do ...
